Breakfast

You wake up in your bed early in the morning.

"Good morning Y/N" Mirabel greeted you
"Good morning" you said in a tired voice
"Abuela wanted to talk about something important today at breakfast, so we better hurry!" she said

You quickly got up and changed into clean clothes, since you still had the same clothes on from yesterday, brushed your hair and left the room with Mirabel.

On the way outside you decided to talk to Mirabel.
"Hey Mirabel?" you gained her attention
"Yeah?" she asked in response
"You seem kinda off.." you said.

It was true, she seemed to zone out a lot while getting ready for breakfast.

"Is it because of the ceremony yesterday?" you asked. "I saw you leave while they took a family picture.. Without you.. And after that I wanted to search for you but-"

the memories of last night flooded into your mind and you couldn't help but blush a little.

"Well, as I said.. I wanted to search for you but couldn't find you and then got kinda distracted" you quickly said. "Are you alright?" you finally asked.

"Oh.." she sighed and both of you stopped walking. "Yeah I'm fine now. I'm not jealous of Antonio! Of course not, I'm happy for him, but after what happened last night.. With casita-" she got interrupted by Pepa who was walking past us

"Mirabel, quit filling their head with that nonsense and get to the table." she said to Mirabel as a cloud appeared above her head and then she turned her head towards you and smiled, the cloud disappearing in the process. "Mama waits for us at the table, she has a wonderful announcement!" she said and then walked past.

'That was strange' you thought.

"Let's just go" Mirabel said, and both of you walked to the table.

You are just looking around being a bit awkward since this will be your first ever breakfast with the Madrigals.

You saw how Mirabel walked towards Dolores and loudly whispered to her, with Dolores just staring.

"Camilo, stop acting like your Dolores to get seconds!" Félix scolded Camilo.
"Ehh, worth a shot" he said and then casita decided to push him away from the food with an window.
You couldn't help but chuckle at that sight, it made your nervousness go away and you sat down next to Camilo at the table.

"Good Morning!" Abuela greeted everyone with a smile. "During this day, we're gonna decide how we are going to use Antonio's beautiful gift, to serve this beautiful community!" she said enthusiastically and looked at Antonio with a proud face. "And, I am aswell going to talk about the proposal from the.."

you continued to listen to Abuela's speech about Isabella's boyfriend until you noticed how Camilo was just stuffing his face with food like it was his first meal in decades.

"Pfft-" you laughed at him as quiet as possible but he noticed and looked at you with a full mouth, just staring.
You giggled quietly while keeping eye contact with him. He quickly swallowed the food in his mouth and smiled at you with closed eyes.

'I adore his smile..' you thought as the smile disappeared on your face and you just stared at him, mesmerized by his smile

When he noticed he looked at you, giving you the face: did I do something? And you whispered a quick "No, don't worry" in response.

"As some of you might have noticed already, we have a new person living with us in this house" you heard Abuela say, and you quickly turned your face from Camilo to Abuela as you felt many eyes on you.

"They are the child of a man who was like a son to me.. They went to find me as their fathers dying wish in order to let his soul rest in piece.." she said with an sad tone and there was silence for a few seconds.

"Of course I can't just ignore that gesture and decided to let them live here with us from now on" she said as the sad tone disappeared completely.

You smiled as the others welcomed you officially into their home and family.

Abuela got up from her seat and signaled that the breakfast was now over. Right after that you saw Mirabel quickly get up and run away.

'Huh.. What has gotten into her?' you thought.

You decided to ask someone about Mirabels strange behavior.

"Hey Dolores?" you said and Dolores quickly turned around.
"Oh, hello Y/N! Can I help you with anything?" she asked.
"Yeah.. I wanted to ask if you know anything about what's going on with Mirabel? Did something happen after I left?" you asked her.
"Oh, yes I do! Last night.. Right after you left, a few minutes later, Mirabel ran back inside Antonio's room and yelled that the Magic is dying and that there were cracks all around the casita" she loudly whispered. "But there was nothing there, mh" she said and then left.
"Huh.." was the only thing you could say to that

You walked around the house, being kinda bored since you have nothing to do, but you couldn't stop thinking about what Dolores told you.

"Oh, Y/N! There you are!" you heard your name being called from behind you so you turned around. There was Félix standing infront of you.

"Oh, hello" you said

"You seem bored! As I suspected.." he started. "Since you are new here, and the entire town is like family, I want you to get to know them so you don't feel left out" he said with a smile "I asked my son Camilo to give you a tour around town, he is waiting at the front of the casita. Have fun!" he said and you thanked him, then left.

'How nice of him' you thought as you walked towards the front of the casita.

You saw Camilo and greeted him and he greeted you back.

"Where will we go first?" you asked
"I really want to see the whole town!" you said excitedly.
Camilo just laughed.
"Don't worry Y/N, you'll see everything" he said and patted you on the head.

That gesture made you feel warm inside. A simple head-pat was enough to make you happy.

You smiled and followed him towards town.
