What a beautiful coincidence - 5

There is a time jump and they see each other after winter break

Time was flying. Makkari and Druig talked every day while texting but only saw each other friday at the library. They were friends, and they flirted, but she thought it was just a friendly thing and not really flirting. Connie saw Daryl every day, at the same place and they talked a lot, they still didn't have each other numbers, and it was better like that, that way they had a reason to see each other more. Winter break was painful. It was good to Makkari, because she could have fun with her family and talk with Druig, but a little harder to Connie because now she couldn't talk to Daryl. She forgot to ask for his number the last day, thinking she was going to see him the next day. Tomorrow classes started again and she was worried

"Hey sis, what's wrong?" Makkari asked sitting on Connie's bed. She was in the room just to call her for lunch but her sister looked worried

"What if I'm wrong? What if nothing is really happening? He never asked for my number. He never learned even one little sign, people that we are friends with normally in one week are already signing something for us even if it's a hi! Druig knows sign language and they are brothers, that should make it easier for him to learn even one! We don't flirt like you and Druig do, we just talk, and he doesn't like talking so it's not much talk either"

"Hey, calm down sis. You're signing faster than I do when I'm excited or angry with something and I thought that was imposible! He is diferent than Druig, it's normal that your friendship with him will be different than mine with Druig. And maybe there is a reason why he hasn't sign anything to you yet, maybe he's learning and wants to be better to impress you! And you guys talk for hours, so for someone that doesn't like to talk, he talks a lot with you! But you know what, we are going to go get lunch somewhere, cheer you up, ok?"

"But mom made lunch already"

"We can eat it at dinner time! Let's go! Get changed!"

Makkari left to find Ajak and tell her that she wanted to cheer her sister and Ajak was ok with it, Kelly decided to go too because she always loved some time with her sisters, they promised Ajak to go with her other day and then they started walking

"Where are we going to eat?" Kelly asked

"I don't know, some place with pizza! And then we go get ice cream! " Makkari said

"I like this plan, you're good at this!" Connie said and her sister smiled

"I know"

"Girls... It's that Druig?" Kelly said and they looked in front of them, she knew his face because Makkari showed her a photo

There he was, with Daryl and some kids and two dogs

"Oh no" Connie said

"Now the important question, will they know who is who having you guys together?"

"we are not going there!"

"Connie, they are in front of us, what, you wanna walk to the other side of the park to avoid them?" Kelly was the one that said that

They walked and the boys looked at them, Daryl's eyes went directly in Connie's direction and Druig's to Makkari's

"My Beautiful Makkari!" he said excited, didn't sign it because he was holding the dog

"Hi Druig!" she signed, giving him a name sign

"You gave me a name sign!" he talked out loud again

"Surprise!"

He smiled so much that she could see dimples she never saw before and she was more in love

"Hi Connie" Daryl said, out loud makind her smile but she was still a little sad, he wasn't holding the dog, kids were playing with him, he could sign but he didn't know how
