Bruno and I decided to meet each other at the market later that night. I was so nervous.... What if the vision was a lie?! What if he is tricking me.... It doesn't seem like something he'd do... I had to hide my nervousness and think about what we'd do there, I was the one who asked him out after all... As I was deciding on things we would do, I realized it was almost time to leave! I rushed to put on some jeans and a nice blouse, it's not very fancy but it will do.

I arrived at the market a few minutes early and saw Bruno sitting on a fountain ledge, bouncing his leg, and occasionally checking his watch then looking around. Before he could spot me I snuck up on him.. "BOO!" I say while giggling.

"AH" He said while falling backwards into the fountain. I let out a gasp before helping him up and out of the fountain. I couldn't help but laugh and neither could he. I was so caught up in laughing that I slipped on the puddle Bruno made and slipped,
The fact that I had fallen made both of us laugh twice as hard. Bruno then fell in the puddle and landed on top of me, causing the laughter to grow a million times louder. Everyone was staring and some were whispering. He rolled off of me and we were both laughing out brains out.

As we were both still laughing, a stranger around Bruno's and my age walked up to us and asked if I was ok. I forced my laughter down deep and said, "Uhm, yeah, why?"

The cocky man then responded, "Well, I saw the village FREAK, Bruno, pounce on top of you and thought he was trying to hurt such a fine lady like you."

I gave him an unimpressed stare and responded angrily, "The village freak? Really? Just because he's not some basic player doesn't mean he's not a good person! Also, we're here on a date!"

The rude man responded with a small voice as if he were talking to a child, "Oh come on! Why is someone gorgeous like you going out with some hideous bad omen like him!? You would be much better with someone handsome and kind, like me."

I simply scoffed and replied, "KIND? HANDSOME? what do you mean? I've seen you and you are NONE of those things."

He responded in that same childish tone, " Oh you poor, poor thing! That monster must've brainwashed you with his weird powers! Come with me! I can make you better! It will just take some time," His tone quickly changed to a flirty one,"In bed... to get your mind off of that Bruno." I refused angrily and tried to walk away but the horrid man grabbed me wrist! "Let go of me you b*tch!" I spat out, trying not to cry from how hard he was holding my wrist. The man didn't respond and I could see Bruno, still sitting on the ground, shocked to his core. After a few more seconds, Bruno's face shifted to serious and he screamed out, "Hey! Let go of her!"

"Or what, freak?" The man said while turning around to face Bruno. Bruno charged at the man, knocking him to the ground, I was able to escape that mans grasp. Crowds gathered to view the scene. Bruno tried to throw a punch at the man but some villagers already pulled him off. That cocky man tried to get up and attack Bruno but other villagers held him down.

Alma rushed out of the Madrigals home to see all of the commotion. I could see the disappointment on her face when she saw that Bruno was a part of it. She cut through the crowd and angrily asked why all of this was happening but before Bruno or I could say anything, the horrible man said while crying like a baby, "Bruno tried to attack that young lady so I tried to protect her but Bruno then attacked me!" Before Bruno could get a single word out he was being dragged by the ear into Almas home. He looked helpless and I felt helpless. It was already dark out so I quickly rushed home so the man wouldn't follow me, as soon as I got home I shut and locked all the doors and windows.
