Edel led us to a practice room, big enough for twenty dragons. Each began to practice with a fairly large mannequin.
It was easier to train as a team, but we had a big problem: coordination. After about two hours between practices and breaks, Ray had to dodge a ground blow from Thorr, I was nearly electrocuted for getting close to Ray when he did his electric ball, and at some point, Edel's ice spikes melted when O touched my flames.
"Wow, sorry Edel" I apologized.
"No, I'm sorry" he said, "I should have aimed from another angle."
"This is not working," Ray said.
"Yes, maybe something is missing," said Thorr.
We looked at Flame's team, they did better than us, but not perfect. Sometimes they also collided with each other.
"Hey! I think it went wrong" they said when something failed them.
Spyro approached his brother's group, surely, he was going to give him some advice. Ember was there too, sure to cheer Flame on. Meanwhile, Cynder approached ours:
"Is everything okay guys?"
"Not so well," said Thorr, "We are not well timed."
"We still have time until tomorrow," Edel encouraged, "We can still do it."
"Well, any suggestions?" Ray said, looking at everyone.
"They can try to attack from different angles" suggested Cynder, "that way, the attacks won't collide, and they won't hit their teammates either"
"Well we will try. Let's get back to it. "
"Wait Jhonny, I have to talk to you for a moment" I went with Cynder for a moment. The others continued.
"What's wrong Cynder, trouble?" asked.
"Not exactly, I was talking to Ember and Edel on the way back, and she confessed that she likes you a lot"
Direct hit, to the heart. I never thought that the dragon I felt something for, felt the same care that I.
"Seriously?" I said in shock, "I never expected it. But I have to admit that I really like her too. Thanks for the tip, but I'd better practice again "
I went back to practice, attacking from different angles was paying off. Now, we are testing four large mannequins. Each one beat theirs with their specialty.
"I think we already have it," Ray said.
"So, it seems," Thorr said, "but I think we should be more creative. I mean, something new, that draws more attention, but that is also coordinated teamwork".
"I think I have an idea" I turned to Thorr, I had thought about that possibility since he was training alone, "Do you think you can repeat that ground hook? But this time it hits Ray. "
"Hey! Why me!?" Ray was scared.
"Easy friend, use your electric sphere, it will adhere to the ground hook. At least, I think so"
"I hope you are right..."
"Me too," Thorr opined, "I don't want to end up hitting a friend."
They tried; Ray surrounded himself with electricity in the form of a sphere that covered him. Then the mannequins appeared. So Thorr used his ground hook and threw it at Ray.
It worked: the hook attached itself to the sphere, presumably by electromagnetism, and the four dolls were knocked over with a single blow. Upon colliding, the ball and the hook came undone, Ray was fine, a little dizzy, but no injuries.
