After getting that pickle as Fridge said, they land and continue on their path and stop somewhere in the woods to refuel.

Currently Y/n was sitting by the lake, lost in thoughts. They had just made it across the canyon and going through more life and death situations really made Y/n think about his life.

When he played games with Fridge in 8th grade, when he and Spencer spent weeks to complete Minecraft, getting first place in the science fair with Martha, and meeting Bethany.

Back then, things were fine, they were fun. Y/n wanted nothing to change.

Then when they reached highschool, everything changed. Bethany met some new girls who made her walk away and she just couldn't live without her phone.

Fridge joined Football and he started spending less time helping me with sports.

Martha, like Spencer, became more introverted and less sociable. She spent her time studying and doing homework, while Spencer became more of a conformist. Fortunately, it didn't stop him from playing way too many video games.

Although unlike everyone else, Spencer never stopped hanging out with Y/n. It's because of that, their love for science and video games, that the two became best friends.

Y/n kept hoping that his friends would come back, so they could all relive and keep make new memories. So far, this game sort of seems to be doing that.

He was knocked out of his thoughts by Bethany who was walking over to him. "Hey." She said.

Y/n looked up. "Hey." She sat down with him as they both looked out towards the jungle. "We're getting closer to the final level." She informed him.

"Yeah, pretty soon we'll be outta here and back home." Y/n smiled, before it went away while he looked down. "Back to our normal lives..."

Bethany picked up on this, "What's wrong?" She ask, confused.

"It's just..." Y/n was trying to find the right words, "our normal lives just seem to be pushing us all further away. I mean some of us have met people who want us to be apart of their own stuff, while some of us haven't met enough people. It's things like those that drive us away from old friends, like each other."

"You with your new friends and phone, Martha with her studies, Fridge with his team and football, Spencer with video games and studies, and me just lookin' out for Spence." Y/n paused. "We get caught up with our own problems that we don't really care about anyone else's."

Bethany took a few seconds to reel it all in. "You're right." She kept thinking on those words. Her new friends had showed her all kinds of things, like social media. She loved it so much that it's all she's been caring about. It even drove her away from a great friend like Y/n. She remembered how she kept going out with a lot of guys, but none of them she truly loved.

Y/n though, he was always what made her happy. She would be lying if she said didn't have a crush on him.

Looking at him now, he's become such a wonderful person. And it's not just the character he's playing in the game.

"I guess when I get back, I could take some time off my phone" Y/n looked  at her surprised. "I guess I have been on my phone way too much to really focus on what's been in front of me."

Y/n smiled, seeing the character development coming from her. "Hey," he started, getting her attention "how about we grab a bite to eat once we get out of here? Could really use some real food once we're free from this hell game."

Bethany was thinking on it, trying to not see it as a date. "Y- yeah. I'd like that."

The two continued to chat and look out at the lake for a few more minutes, before finally getting up to leave.

Since pretty soon, they were about to reach the final level of the game.
