Chapter six: shopping and feelings

       
                              *With the girls*

"Okay ladies Fourth of July is next month so we need to find the best clothes," said Coral. Ari and Katty nodded as they separate through the little clothes store for women.

                              *With the men*
                             *Still no one's POV*

"When did you guys start working at the ranch?" Noah ask. The men are looking around the game store for a pack of cards for their bunkhouse since the cards they have keeps losing some of the cards. "I started working about nine years ago," Candy responded while looking at the board games. "And I started to work at the ranch five years after Candy," replied Slim. "What about Ari and Katty?" Oliver questions. "What about them?" Slim inquired with a wary look on his face. "I'm sure what my brother meant is how come the girls aren't with the parents?" Butting in George. With the small question that sure stopped Candy and Slim stopped what they were doing and look at each other then turned to the triplets (Lennie is looking at newspapers pictures). "You fellas have to ask the girls that cause me and Slim aren't gonna tell y'all nothing" Candy answered. The triplets look at each other with worried/confused faces.

*Meanwhile with the girls*

"So what do you think ladies?" Asked Ari. After 20 minutes of looking around the store, the girls found their perfect dress for a fireworks event. "I say it will look gorgeous on you Ari," complicated Katty. "Thanks, Kat" Ari thanked, "cute dress Coral". "Thank you, I got thought for a moment that it's inappropriate," Coral stated. "Nah" "No it's lovely" the other disagrees. "I think my dress is adorable," Katty blushed as it was her turn. "So I found this dress and I just- don't know," Katty stammered. "Awww it suits you Kat!" "It's pretty!" Katty once again blush at the attention. "Now we have our dress decided, we'll buy these dresses and buy other things that we need," declared Coral. "Right" the other two agreed and went to the cash register.

                         *Back with the men*

"So there is a cafe right here in town?" Ask Noah. The men have finished with their shopping so right now they're heading to the cafe where they are gonna meet with the women after they are done with their shopping. "yep by the end of the entrance of the town," answered Candy. "It's called Coffee and Cakes," added Slim. "It sounds good," Lennie commented. Candy chuckled lightly, "Oh it is good Lennie".  When they arrive at the cafe Slim went inside to check in with the staff while the rest went to sit down and chat. "Y'know this is one of the busy days to be in town," said Candy. "Really?" inquired George. "Yep, it's usually quiet and nothing much of yelling," Candy replied. "Okay I got us checked in,"   Slim informed as he sit down. "Did you tell the staff that there will be three more people joining us?" Interrogated Candy with his eyebrow raised. "Yes, are you keeping reminding me that one time!" Slim exclaimed. "What happened?" Lennie was curious. "Well, one time the girls has to check themselves in because this guy over here had googly eyes over Grace McLean working in the perfume store," Candy told the four men. Meanwhile Slim put his head in his hands in embarrassment. "Hey fellas!" Coral greeted as she and her friends arrived at the table. "Did you get us checked SLIM," asked Katty while she and the other two grab chairs from a different table. " Oh, c'mon why are you guys keep reminding me of that!" Slim blurt out. "Because you almost got us in trouble with the damn store because YOU didn't check us in," Katty bickered back at her older brother as the females sat down in their chairs. "Yeah, you're lucky enough that I went to check US in," Ari agreed. The other five watched the argument out fold. "Never mind that what matters I have learned my damn lesson," Slim said. "Well anyways-" but before Coral said anything a waitress came by the table. "Hi I'm Delilah Asher and I'm gonna be your waitress for today," the waitress introduced herself while holding a notepad. Delilah has red-brown hair which her hair is like Ari except her ponytail is high, she got green eyes, she is plus size by the looks of it, and she's wearing her uniform while having the Star of David necklace wrapped around her neck. And by the looks of it, Lennie looked like he was in a daze. "Hey uh Delilah, I would like some black roast coffee please?" Requested Candy. "No coffee for us" "I liked some cream coffee" "we would like some black coffee" "I-uh-I'll get the same coffee as her". Delilah is writing down who wants what coffee and who doesn't want coffee. "Okay any cakes?" Delilah ask. "We would like double mocha chocolate cake, please?" "I would like cottage pudding" "We want some Norwegian party cake" "uh no cake for me" Delilah just finished with the cake orders. "Okay I'll be back with your orders," informed Delilah. "Anyway we got our dresses for next month," "What's happening next month?" George asked. "It's for the Fourth of July," "But still why?" George and his brothers are still curious. Lennie is looking at Delilah like she opened his eyes. "Well before the fireworks, we'll have a huge gathering in the middle of town and after we have our dinner we have a dance," Candy explained. "So you're saying it's a huge dance," Oliver asked with an eyebrow raised. "Yep"

*Time skip*

A group of howling laughing is through the air. "S-so you're telling me *giggle* that he didn't know his underwear is showing till night?" Ari asks while trying to calm down. "Yes ma'am and then our old boss Chuck put a piece of paper above his bottom," Noah continues the story. The table was once again howling with laughter. "Here's your guys' food," Delilah came back with orders. "Thank you," the whole table thanked the waitress. "You have pretty hair," Lennie compliments Delilah as she put down Lennie's plate. Delilah blushed bright pink. "Oh- uh thank you," she thanked gratefully. Once Delilah put the last plate down she hurriedly grabs her serving plate and skirted inside. Lennie looked confused and asked, "Did I do something wrong?" "No Lennie she's embarrassed, not in a bad way but in a good way," Coral explained. "Oh," that's what Lennie only said and start eating his sweet lunch.

*Time skip again*

"Okay that's $10.25," Slim counted how much they have to leave the money. After they count their money they put it on top of the plate. And just on time, "OWINGS PLANTATIONS, OWINGS PLANTATIONS, OWINGS PLANTATIONS!" It is time for the workers to head back to their 'home'. "We got our bags," "So do we," "Alright ladies and gentlemen let's go 'home',"
