Chapter 5

Damian POV:

Tobias and I had all of our morning classes together and I don't know if that was a good or bad thing. I mean, yeah I get to hang out and all but I'm afraid he will yet bored of me quickly. I want to be his friend and i want him to think of me as his friend. I decided to get over my fears and invite him to sit with me and Nyssa at lunch.

"Um.......T-tobias?"

"Yeah?" He looked over at me with a warm smile on his face that made me smile back at him. It was a small one but it was a smile all the same. I never really smile nowadays and for him to get me to smile on the first day we have meet is a great achievement.

"Would you....um....maybe w-want to have lunch with m-me and my friend Nyssa? I-I mean only if you want to, you don't have to if y-you don't want t-to." I stammpered, embarrassed by my stuttering.

He looked at me, surprised but happy at the same time.

"Well of course I would want to sit with you. You are my best friend now and you aren't going to get away from me easily." He laughed and pulled me with him towards the cafeteria.

"I-I'm your friend?" I was shocked. He can't have possibly said I was his friend. I am just a shy introvert who doesn't know how to communicte with people.

"The best of the best. Oh and....um I think I got us lost."

I looked around us and realized that he somehow managed to lead us over to the maths hall which was on the whole other side of the school than the lunchroom was. I giggled slightly at his sense of direction, or lack thereof.

I gently grabbed his arm and steered him outside to the tree that Nyssa and I sit everyday. It was far enough away from the school that you couldn't hear the stupid gossip of the students but the bell was still noticeable.

Tobias looked confused and asked me why we were outside. I was in the middle of explaining that it was quieter out here than in the cafeteria when I got tackled by a large strawberry. Also known as Nyssa.

"DAAAMIIIAAAN!!!!"

"N-nyssa. I can't b-breath." I said muffled by the masses of fat called boobs.

"Oh sorry! OH MY GOSH. Damian the hot new guy is behind you. We should totally ask him if he wants to sit with us."

"Um. Well he k-kinda alreay is sitting with u-us."

"Yup. Damian here basically dragged me over here demanding that I have lunch with him." Tobias jokingly said.

"N-no. I p-promise that I d-didn't. I-I asked him n-nicely." I was freaking out. I asked him nicely didn't I? I don't want him to think I forced him to have lunch with me.

"Aww Damian calm down. I was only joking. I promise I came here willingly." He walked over to me and put an arm around my shoulders. "So are you to introduce me to this lovely girl here?"

I was relieved that he was only kidding. I really wanted him to sit with me at lunch.

"I am Nyssa Alistarr. Outgoing, funky, and a full blown lesbian."

"Well okay then. I guess I should introduce myself too. I am Tobias Ryder. British, Awkward, and very much pansexual."

Pansexual? I know I have heard that before. What is it again? Errrr I know what it is!

My frustration must have shown because the next thing I know Tobias is in my face explaining that it means he doesn't care for gender and that it just matters about the personality.

I blushed at the close proximity and stumbled back a bit.

"O-oh yeah. I r-remember now. U-um that's cool."

"What about you mister? Are you part of the colorful community?" Tobias asked with a smirk.

"Well of course he is! Don't you see his homosexual rainbow aura!?" Nyssa nearly screamed. Scaring some birds out of the nearby trees.

I cringed at the feeling of my ear drums being blown.

When I looked up from my shoes, which I tend to look at when I'm nervous, and saw Tobias staring at me very intently.

"Oh really? That is some interesting information." He smiled a sort of mischievously and I didn't know whether to be scared or excited.
