They were shocked beyond compare. "How could Manus be here?" was the question on both their minds.
"Oh. Hello, children. Glad to see you are doing okay, expecially you, Damon. I have a favor to ask of you."
"What is it Manus?" Damon asked.
"I need you to complete the task I was given."
"Why?" they said in unison.
"Well, beacause I have bigger matters to attend to."
"May we ask waht the task is?" said Alice.
"I need you to find me."
"But, you're here, with us," they said in unison.
"This is just a physical projection. My body is somewhere in the Netherplane. I newd you to find my body."
"But, how do we do that. The Netherplane is inaccessible to humans," Damon said.
"But, you aren't human, Damon. You are part Rifter (residents of the Netherplane). You can access the Netherplane. You can get me out of the mess I am currently in."
"Wait, what mess?"
"The reason I was sent to the Netherplane was because The council asked me to investigate the abnormally high dark Eithulus count there. I went there and found the reason, a Piece of the Cultist's Tablet was inside the Keeper of the Netherplane, Gerard Lockhorn. He's a Time Keeper. He can freely manipulate time. He captured me and took away my soul."
"So, how do I get to the Netherplane?" Damon asked.
"You are a Gate Keeper! You can freely transport yourself through dimensions."
"What about Alice? I can't just leave her here."
"I know someone who can help you. His name is Flair. He lives in Cosme City . He can give you access to the Netherplane. Now, go. This physical projection is degrading. I'll contact you as soon as I can gather up enough energy to conjure another projection." Then the projection vanished before their eyes.
"So, were going back to Cosme?" Alice asked.
"Yes. I need you to come with me into the Netherplane."
"Okay, let's go."
So Damon opened up a portal. They stepped into the portal and found themselves on the outskirts of ths city. They walked through the sand until they reached the city.
"Well, were here again. So, where do we find this Flair guy," Alice asked.
"I don't know. I guess we just have to ask around. I know where to start."
"Where?"
"The Rusty Flame."
"What? That club houses almost all of Cosme's criminals."
"Exactly. If there's anyone in Cosme who knows Manus, they are probably in The Rusty Flame."
"Well, if you say so."
So they headed to The Rusty Flame and began asking everyon if they knew Manus. They had no luck. The only one they didn't ask was a man in the corner drinking.
"He's the only one left, we better ask him." Damon whispered to Alice.
They walked towards the man and asked him if he knew Manus.
"Yeah, I know him. He's an old friend. By the way, the name's Flair."
