"What do you want, Cunnus?" I asked.
"Well, pretty girly, I just want your time," he replied.
"Shut up, Cunnus. I don't want your time, or your hateful words, or your spite, or your misery, or your life, for that matter. Are you always like this?"
Ben answered for him: "Yeah, usually he's worse. You should hear what he does to girls..."
I shuddered.
"Cunnus, I am leaving for good," I said, and grabbed Ben, who seemed relieved to be leaving too.
We walked quickly, and Ben slung his arm around my shoulders.
"Okay, please please PLEASE tell me what this training entails!" I practically screamed.
"Settle down! And I heard you the first time you asked me."
"Then why didn't you reply?"
"Yeah, why didn't you reply?" a voice sneered. He was following us. Cunnus was following us. Ben whispered to keep going, and we continued, Cunnus's breath practically on our necks. I was so scared, although I didn't show it.
"I can't tell you what training entails, actually, because in order to explain it, rules say that the Revealee musty perform an act of great bravery. Otherwise, you'll just have to see for yourself."
I nodded and groaned inwardly. Then, I looked at my surroundings. We were near rocks in what looked like Middle Park. Middle Park? No, no, no. CENTRAL Park, that's what it is. Except I knew that we weren't in New York/Yourk, because that was just a fantasy land. The hustle and bustle seemed unreal. In Chromata, birth plans were arranged to avoid overpopulation and crowding. Although, who am I to say otherwise that so many people isn't a good thing?
Suddenly, I felt a sharp tug on my shoulder.
"Get your goddamn hands off of me!" I hollered at Cunnus. "If you ever touch me again..."
"What will ya do? Kill me? You wouldn't dare."
"You know what? Maybe I would, and maybe I will."
"Hm. That'll be the day. Anyways, you seem like you need an attractive guide, so I decided to step in."
"I already HAVE an attractive guide," I replied. "Ben."
Ben blushed."It's probably one of those false relationships anyway, and when Ben dumps you for some hot chick, you'll have no Prince Charming to come and fend for you when I come knocking on your door."
"You'll be knocking on my door begging for mercy, that's what. And was it only minutes ago that you were setting us up? Now you're tearing us apart, you hypocrite," I remarked.
"Prove you love him," Cunnus replied, shifting his weight smoothly.
"I don't need to prove to you anything."
"Sheesh, what kinda dysfunctional family did you have? I pity them, having to deal with you for thirteen years. At least now they're free..." Cunnus sighed.
"THAT'S IT!" I hollered. "Nobody talks about my living, breathing, loving, caring family like that! You-"
"Sweetheart, you don't scare me. Never have, never will. Don't bother trying."
I pulled out my blade. Ben swallowed.
"Ventus, we need to go. I have to show you where you'll be staying before training," Ben told me, furrowing his eyebrows. "Leave us alone, Cunnus."
"No can do," Cunnus replied. "I've taken quite an interest in your little girlfriend here, and it's gonna take a lot to divert my attention."
"Wait!" I cried suddenly. "Before you go. If I kill Cunnus, will you tell me about the training?"
What was I doing, saying mindless babble like that? But I couldn't take it back now. The guy had gotten me all fired up, and now it would take a lot to calm me down. I stood tall, even though Cunnus burst out hysterically and Ben stared at me.
"Ventus, don't even bother trying," Ben said, eying me nervously. "Murder is not on your to-do list."
"It wouldn't be murder, if it was for the greater good. He's useless to the Black society, all he does is pick on people and start fights, probably. What good is a troublemaker like that going to do? Besides, think of all the lives him and his gang- because you know a guy like him has a gang- have taken. In all this time, I'll take only one," I told him.
Cunnus stopped laughing and looked at me."Oh, you were being serious?"
"Yeah."
"And are you accusing me of murder?"
"No, I'm accusing you of murder, rape, underage drinking, illegal drugs, vandalism of the city by graffiti, abuse, theft and shoplifting," I replied cooly. "Because you've most likely done those things, right? RIGHT?"
Cunnus shrugged, and I almost laughed, because I saw a hint of uncomfort in his eyes.
"Yeah, so?"
"If turned in, you'd be given the death penalty anyway, so let's just get this over with now."
Ben shrugged, trying not to laugh. "She has a point."
"Listen, little kids, you know that never in your right mind would you ever kill someone, especially someone you just met. I'll kill YOU so fast your head will spin."
"Cunnus, you don't scare me," I quoted him. "Never have, never will."
Then, Cunnus stepped aside and threw a punch, not at me, but at Ben, who was standing next to me.
"Get away from him!" I cried. But, as usual, nobody listened to the only person there with common sense.
"Quit messing with me!" Ben yelled, shoving Cunnus away from him.
"Getcha girlfriend under control!" Cunnus replied through a clenched jaw.
"Okay, stop this bull crap right now!" I tried again. But now, both Ben and Cunnus were in a fighting stance.
"You don't really want to know about this training thing, do you?" Ben asked. "Because at this rate, it's not worth it."
Ben was right.
NO.
Ben was wrong. I couldn't give up now. And I wasn't about to save his butt, either.
"What? Scared, little Benny?" Cunnus sneered.
"Ben, I need to know what's going on here!" I said helplessly.
"Then find it out somewhere else!"
I held my knife up for all to see.
They thought I was afraid? Well, they were the ones who should fear for their lives."Take your stuff and go, Cunnus. Nobody wants you here," I told him.
"Well, nobody wants you here either, but we all deal with it, right now?" the kid replied. "That's why you're Black. You're not wanted anywhere else. This is the trash dump for kids like you who don't belong."
"And what about you?"
"I transferred from Red, didn't like it there. Managed to find myself here with all the misfits."
"YOURE THE ONLY MISFIT HERE!" I screamed.
And.
I.
Held.
My.
Blade.
In.
My.
Hands,
Came.
Down.
Hard,
And
Stabbed
Cunnus
In
The
Chest. He crumpled to the ground, and I stood over his lifeless body.
"Now will you tell me what training is?"
