" GERMAN TROOPS SEIZE ALLIED LIÈVE!
Liève has been taken once more by the Germans, as the enemy bombarded several forts and encampments surrounding the city. Many civilian casualties have been counted, yet the true numbers of the loss remain undisclosed as contact with our troops has been cut indefinitely.
Although the number of casualties remains for the moment unknown, the medical field camps have been levelled by the continuous bombings and attacks on our forces, making the chances of survival for the few surviving soldiers of the attacks diminish significantly, as they can no longer treat the wounded who were forced to retreat.

I've come across newspapers saying that the camp you've been assigned to has been attacked.
I am overcome with worry, but I have hope.
I await impatiently a letter from you, dreading your deadly silence. Devastation has filled me since my eyes have laid upon the tragic news, I fear for the worst. I apologize for the briefness of my letter, but I aim to send it out as quickly as possible, desperate for any news on your part.
If this letter ever finds itself within your hands, know that I am overcome with love when your presence graces my mind. Well, I owe you honesty; you've never left my thoughts from the moment I first laid eyes on you, as you brought me back from the depths of hell. My only regret is not having told you this sooner.
