Date night Chpt21

Short chapter 

I started to drive... we soon arrived to tender greens after awhile.

Colby: tender greens?! Hell yeah! Best date ever bro!

He screamed as he flew out of the car. His happiness made me smile with a chuckle before hand.  

We walked to the door and Colby was practically jumping up and down on his tippy toes in excitement. I opened it for him bowing as a joke.

Y/n: women first.

I stated in a deep voice with my chin tilted up to him. He giggled.

Colby: oh wow thank you so much, such a generous man!

He batted his eyes speaking in a high pitched voice. He walked in as we both laughed at it, we took a seat, my face flushed over with a light pink tint seeing Colby right in front of me... I can't believe we are on a date.. I reminded myself to act casual but like myself. 

Colby: I love this place so much! Have you ever been here y/n?!,

He voiced to my excited, he continued to speak.

Colby: what are you going to ge—

Y/n: nope! Never once even heard about this place before..I think kat, told me you liked it!

I cut him off before he asked another thousand questions. I answered his first one before the next. His face wasn't to shocked when I cut him off, rather confused about my answer.. maybe even concerned since I haven't been here before.

Colby: what?! Oooh, you're going to love it! Now now, back to what I was saying because... sOme oNe wAnTs to cUt mE OfF wHilE tAlKinG!

He said bobbing his head back, side, forth, side multiple times technically mocking no one but attempting.

Colby: so, ahem. What are you going to order?

I gave me a innocent sweet smile. I smiled back somewhat red.

Y/n: I'm not sure...,

I began as I stared down at my menu flipping through it. 

Y/n: everything looks amazingly good..

I tapped his chin thinking for a second humming a hmm sound. He popped up as if a light bulb appeared above him.

Colby: I'll order the best thing I know here and you can just order the same thing!

He said as he ruffled his palms through his hair covering his forehead. 

I gave him a nod.

Soon enough a pretty woman who was tall and slim came over, she was fixing her hair before pulling out paper and a pen.

Waitress: ahem, hello! What could I get for you guys today?

She threw both us a big warming smile, it made me comfortable...

Colby: we both want "something bc the author has never been to the place".

He said sweetly and not in a voice I heard often. I nodded in agreement looking at the lady's piercing green eyes. They were sparkling which caught me off guard when she started talking again and this time to me. 

I was startled by the sudden "ahem" and Colby tapping his fingers on the table near my arm.

Y/n: aha sorry! Uh, what was that?

I gave her a sorry'd tone. She giggled.

Waitress: what would you like to drink dear.

She said as if she were older than I am.

Y/n: Could I get "F/D" please ma'am?

I replied more as a question then a answer. She nodded writing down it on her paper. She put the pen and paper pad away and walked away giving the paper to someone in the kitchen.

I turned back to Colby. He looked up from the table into my eyes, he smiled. 

Minutes later

Y/n: your smile is so pretty

I tilted my head, I meant to say it inside my head but played it off normal since it broke the silence. Colbys face expression changed to a shock and blush runned over his sweet face.

Colby: t-thank you y/n.

He studdered, his words came to a end with a chuckle. We made eye contact and then the waitress came with our food.

Y/n & Colby: thank you!

Waitress: sorry to be in your business but, is this a date? I'll give you guys 40% off!

She smiled, I was in a surprised state but nodded, she lifted her head and wrote something. She continued to the next table. 

I turn to see Colby stuffing his food quickly into his mouth, I chuckled and pulled my phone out before he noticed. I snapped a photo of him laughing louder this time. I put my phone down to meet his eyes staring at me.

food was stuffed into his mouth but it didn't move as he squinted his eyes at me mischievously.

Y/n: youre just so cute and funny, okayy?

I played it off and started eating...

After date

We got into my car and Colby drove home this time. I stare outside the window until I jump at the sudden cold metal on my knee. I look down to see Colby's hand rested on my knee and his finger tapping. 

Y/n: do you need something Colby?

I looked to the road in front of us. He hummed before replying.

Colby: nope.

He switched lanes, I nodded and looked back outside. We were 3 minutes before home.

Colby: hey y/n..

Y/n: yeah wussup Colby?

I played it off cool thinking and wishing he will confess to me.

Colby: thank you for this. You look beautiful by the way.

He stared at the road not even glancing at me. My face became heated and red.

Y/n: thank you Colby. 

I was sad but happy. We finally made it home after a minute of silence. We got out and headed to our own rooms separate. We parted ways for tonight and that was it.
