"Shadow Hashira?" the burgundy haired boy looked at you with a shocked and confused expression displayed on his face.
Your eyes narrowed to the young woman standing or should you say the Insect Hashira that's standing a few meters infront, analyzing her apperance, her gradient black and purple hair to the butterfly ornament that's placed on her tied hair, to her butterfly patterned haori, it clearly matches the description of the Insect Hashira you've heard.
The expression on your face behind your kitsune mask didn't falter a bit at what she said. Well, you expected that they'll find out soon enough and you weren't going to deny it at all. You noticed the stare the Water Hashira is giving you through his peripheral vision, eyeing your covered face with his glazed eyes.
Averting his attention at you, he looked back at the Insect Hashira. Silence filled the surroundings, the only sound that can be heard is the screams the demon slayers made from a far. The Water Hashira decided to break the silence by saying...
"I'm not disliked by people" the Hashira uttered. You froze on your spot, turning your head slowly at the Hashira. You can see the shocked expression the injured young boy had on it's face which looked funny on your perspective.
You feel like laughing but decided to hold it in since it's not the place or time to laugh. The Insect Hashira seems to also find the sentence funny that the Water Hashira recently said and decided to tease him with it.
"Well, I'm sorry. You haven't even realized that people don't like you, then? That was uncalled for. Forgive me" 'Well, that hurts' you can feel that hit the Water Hashira hard. A laugh slip off your lips that's only audible for the Hashira next to you. His eyes slightly widened once he heard your voice but then he remembered the situation you are all currently in.
As if you both read each other minds, you are taken aback, eyes looked shock as your lips let out a faint gasp from what you both uttered.
"Can you move? If you can't, make yourself move and take your sister away from here" you both said. You glance at the man next to you that had his usual unbothered expression on his face but you manage to noticed the change in his eyes. You can clearly tell he was shocked too but didn't make a big deal out of it.
The young boy stand on his two feet, carrying his unconscious sister and running away from the scene.
"Isn't that against corps rules? Tomioka-san and Shadow Hashira?" The Insect Hashira manage to have such cheerful face even though she just observed two Hashiras broke a corps rule.
"Say, Are you really the Shadow Hashira? Why did you just showed up now?" she asked. After the siblings ran off, you finally managed to get some space away from the Water Hashira since you have nothing to protect anymore.
