Indominus could still win. She knew she could, but that infuriating Velociraptor--Blue--and the T-Rex--Rexy--were such an annoying team. And how could that be? How in the name of everything on the earth could a Rex and Raptor be on the same terms with each other?

Indominus hated it.

But they were beating her to a pulp. She swiped, she snapped, she tore, she ripped; that Velociraptor was so distracting, and that T-Rex...she was even more annoying than Indominus had thought possible.

Rexy came at Indominus with fury, her jaws agape and ready to tear thick hide, so Indominus slashed at her and tore at her neck; then she realized she was being backed into a corner. A corner against the Mosasaurus's tank.

Rexy plowed toward the tank. She grappled with Indominus, her fangs snapping and nipping sharply at her, pulling out spines and quills on her head and back, driving pain into her nerves like flames. Indominus snapped back, lashing her brutal claws, slashing through the Rex's brown hide.

She was running low on blood, and she was beginning to grow weaker, less accurate in her strikes. Everything in her wanted to keep going; keep fighting--it had to be done--but her instincts were driving her into insanity. She had to stop. She wouldn't survive if she fell into the water.

Against every desire, Indominus gave Rexy one last shove, threw Blue off with a frenzied quake of her body, and roared lividly in their faces, tearing off, out of the central of the attractions; Into the jungle.

There...she would heal, and come back. There, she would become the most powerful thing to ever walk the earth.

If she could keep away from the humans.

"Holy cow...What are you? I didn't see you on the island."

What was he saying? In this cage, Indoraptor could very well distinguish some of the man's words, but it was quite hard to make out the human vocals, and it was creating a longing inside him...a longing to bite that man's head off and tear his corpse apart.

He could probably get him to come into the cage. It would just take a little work. Maybe some coaxing, timid behavior--something to intrigue the man.

     But he didn't need to.

Two tranquilizer bullets shot from the man's gun, and pierced Indoraptor's thick neck hide. He bellowed three short, sharp sizzling roars, and his plan was already in motion. With a dramatic faint, he staggered, playing weak as if the sedative was coursing through his veins with a strong enough toxin to knock him unconscious.

"Oh, you're a tough guy," the man said, a slight note of awe in his tone. He stepped forward, gun still posed to shoot.

The dragon-like beast toppled over, slamming against the bars, and abruptly crashing to the cold cage floor. The man cocked his head, swaying as he started for the cage, convinced of the Indoraptor's act.

With a careful moment of hesitation after opening the cell door, the man stepped inside, his movements tense, as if he were a deer sneaking up on a sleeping wolf. He stepped quietly inside the cage, keeping his full attention on the seemingly asleep dinosaur. He paused, watching the beast: He looked peaceful almost, in a deep sleep.

"Look at you," the man said, stepping lightly over the lengthy tail draped across the floor. "You're some kinda' hotrod." He carefully placed one of his boots against the animal's cranium and pushed it. "..with really pretty teeth...."

He pulled out a pair of pliers with a sharp click. "This'll make a perfect center piece for my necklace..." He fastened the metal apparatus around one of Indoraptor's ragged fangs, and tightened the grip. As he began to pull, a chill of terror came over him.

Indoraptor waved his tail in the air behind him, grinning slightly.

The man tensed and glanced behind himself.

     Nothing.

He turned back around, pulling harder at the long fang...and again he felt a creeping horror come over his spine. He spun around, his eyes wide.

     The tail. It was moving.

Indoraptor was going to have fun with this one.

Jagged fangs like hot, searing needles sank deep into the man's arm. He screamed, his shock masking the pain for only a moment. Then he was dragged up, the hybrid's deadly jaws tightening around the man's arm, fangs lodging deeper into his flesh, drawing out blood, scraping the bones.

Indoraptor lifted him up, his throat vibrating with delight. He listened at the man's helpless screams for a moment, clawing at his kicking legs. Then he bit down with the force of death on  the man's arm, the bone cracking in half, muscles tearing away from muscles.

The man fell to the ground, his tears too painful to even emerge from his eyes. He whimpered, more in fright than pain, and held out his single hand desperately, at if begging the creature to spare him.

Indoraptor was in no mood to let this piece of prey go. He lowered his head, licking the man's blood off his stained teeth, and blinked in cruel joy at the human. Indoraptor pressed his rough black muzzle against the man's head with more giggling growls of playful aggression.

The man was weeping now, lifting his remaining arm to the Indoraptor with resign. The creature snorted and opened his jaws with a roar tainted with the promise of a gruesome death.

This was just the beginning of his killing spree; his ecstatic massacre.
