When they both arrived at school, they were both late, getting shouted at by Mr. Phillips wasn't the brightest situation you would want to be in, though Cassandra didn't regret helping out, Gilbert, on the other hand, was guilty that he dragged Cassandra in that situation.
The snow had stopped falling, coating Avonlea's once green grass with a thick layer of white snow.
Lunchtime soon came and the girls pulled Cassandra to their secret place before she could escape finding Cole.
Apparently, Anne is in her first flowery time, or whatever her mother called it. Cassandra figured that would explain why she was clutching her stomach and was extra nervous the other day.
The girls giggled as they talked, "I got mine three months ago, and I feel extremely mature." Josie whispers, "You seem mature," Diana comments, "You do," Tillie supports, "Eh-? Yeah, I guess." Cassandra munched on her food as she spoke.
"I think the boys take me more seriously too," She added as the others nodded in approval, "But they can't tell, can they? That would be awful." Anne hushedly asked,
"Of course not. Do you think those no-brainers even know what this is? They'd think we're sick and on our death bed!" Cassandra exclaimed, making the girls shush her.
"Not tell, per se, but I'm not a little girl anymore, and I believe that's noticeable," Josie replies, making the redhead more confused.
"Stop confusing her- don't worry Anne. They can't tell a thing. Well, if you act like nothing is wrong, they wouldn't expect something is wrong, y'know?" Cassandra smiled though grew confused about her own sentence,
"My bosom's began growing when I got mine too." Josie whispered, "Barely-" Cassandra muttered before getting a slight glare from Josie,
"Yet another reason why this is so inexplicable." Anne comments,
"I got mine last year," Diana announced, "Me too." Tillie agreed, "I got mine two years ago." Cassandra spoke,
The girls looked at her a bit alarmed, "What? I'm two years older than all of you." She giggles, "Wait, so why don't you hang out with Prissy?" Ruby asked, "Because they're boring and talk about boring things." Cassandra bores,
"You're lucky Prissy invites you to join them," Josie rolls her eyes, "Whatever, when Prissy does invite you, you'd realize that it's not as fun as you think," Cassandra responds, taking a sip of her milk.
