Your oldest sibling had dropped you off at the Superstar Daycare once again. They claimed you were far too short for Roxy raceway, and said you were too babyish to do anything else.

Your sister always did seem to be bitter about everything. Oh well, at least you got to spend time with Sunrise.

Sunrise was the cheerful daycare attendant, who always had a smile on his face, being just as vibrant as his color scheme.

You've stayed here many times. But each time, you were glued to the sun's side. You were terribly shy.. You didn't really have any friends either. Besides the sun himself of course!

You stood meekly by the entrance of the daycare, holding your Sunrise plush close to your chest.

All the other kids ran around the large play structures, laughing and smiling. Making up various games as they played together.

You.. Felt out of place. You were the only one not running around like an excited puppy chasing its tail.

You stood on your tip toes trying to look for the tall celestial animatronic. Strangely enough, you didn't see him. Maybe he was out sick for the day?

You suddenly felt hands under your armpits, you let out a squeak from getting picked up.

"Gumdrop! I was wondering when I'd see you again!" Sunrise beams, you return the smile once you see that its just him.

"Sunrise!" You wrap your arms around his neck, giving him the biggest hug you could give him.

He was the only one that didn't make you feel like an outcast. He always welcomed you with open arms and smiles.

"How's my little gumdrop today?" He asks, moving you to rest on his hip while he skipped the two of you over to the drawing tables.

"I'm okay! My sister dropped me off today, I was worried you wouldn't be here today." You reply.

"Oh gumdrop, I'm always here for you!" He snickers booping your nose, making you giggle in reply.

He gently sits you at one of the drawing tables. "Make yourself comfortable dear, I'll get you the scented markers you love!" He ruffles your hair before turning on his heel and disappearing into the crowd of kids.

You have a shy smile on your face while you clutch your plush closer. As cranky as your sister was, you were happy she let you see Sunrise everyday.

Sure she could be a bit harsh.. But she had teenage things to deal with that you didn't understand. Plus, she was a waitress here after all, and you've seen how mean people could be.

And your mother always insisted that she takes you with her to work everyday.

You suddenly feel your plush get ripped out of your hands, it snaps you out of your thoughts and you look up to see a boy a head or two taller than you.

He held your plush above your head. "Pfft. Aww look at the little baby! Aren't you a little old for dolls?" He asks with a toothy grin.

You shrink in on yourself, feeling tears threatening to fall. Your breathing became heavy. "S-stop it! Give him back!"

"What are you gonna do? Tell on me?" He snickers, grabbing on of your plush's arms and tugging at it.

"Give him back!"

"And if I don't?"

You feel big tears fall down your cheeks, and before you know it you've burst into tears.

"Hah! Look at the little baby cry! Crybaby! Woah- hey put me down!" The boys hisses.

"Rule breaker ruler breaker! You are banned from the daycare for being meanie!" You hear Sunrise's voice hiss, along with the complaints from the boy.

"I will not tolerate that kind of behavior! Get out!" Sunrise opens the doors of the daycare with his free hand before tossing the boy out on his rear end. Then slamming the door before he can mutter any other word.

After about a minute, you're pulled into the warm embrace of the tall jester. "I'm so sorry y/n, that boy has always been a trouble maker.. Are you alright gumdrop?"

With a sniffle you nod your head. "I'm okay.. He took my plushie.."

You feet the sun wipe away your tears with his thumb. Before your favorite plush is returned to you, you hold it close in a right hug.

"He won't bother you anymore. He's been banned! And good riddance!" Sunrise narrows his eyes at the door once more before turning to face you again.

"Thank you sunny.." You say, with a small smile.

"Anything for my favorite little gumdrop! Now, I've gotten the scented markers!" He smiles, handing you the box of markers.

You giggle and take them from him. "I know what I'm gonna draw today."

"And what's that gumdrop?"

"You!"

The sun chuckles. "I'll hang it up in my room once you're done!"

The rest of the afternoon was nothing but happiness for the both of you. You didn't have to deal with any other trouble makers, as long as Sunrise was by your side. He made sure to keep a smile on your face.

If anyone else dared to tease you again, they might just have to speak with Moondrop.

End..! I hope you enjoyed, I adore Sunrise, he's officially my comfort character. But honestly, I think its just my obsession for Kellen Goff talking.
