A shadow.

That's all he was. The moon lingered in the suns shadow, while the world cheered for the suns bright, literal sunny self.

They shut out the moon, fearing it and the darkness that came with it.

Most of the children were scared of him. He could be strict, he'll admit that. But, whether they wanted to or not, they needed their naps. They were still growing after all.

He knew the complaints were because of him, he ignored them. Even if they did hurt.. He was just doing his job. The parents shouldn't complain, they got to run around without the worry of crying toddlers all day.

He and Sunrise were never treated as well as they should be. They were the second most expensive to build, the first being the DJ himself.

They weren't taken seriously, everyone around them, even the Glamrocks thought they were just a child in a nine foot tall body.

Moon wasn't stupid.. When he roamed the ceilings during charging hours. He heard every single word of disgust from the workers, and the others.

Moon wasn't.. Exactly happy that he had to share a body with sparkly moron. But even he wasn't that harsh to his brighter half.

When was the last time they were scrubbed down..? The moon wasn't sure. He couldn't remember it had been that long.

He's been barfed on at least twice, no matter how many wet wipes he had and disinfectant he sprayed on himself it didn't remove the memory.

Sun bounced around the daycare like the hyper guy that he is, when something caught their eye.

Sun turned his head, greeting the newcomer with a cheerful toothy smile. It was a staff member most likely... The moon sighed at this.

Probably another waste of time. As soon as the lights shut off they'll level before he can even take over.

The girl stepped closer with a cheerful smile of her own. She must have been in her early twenties.. Moon hadn't.. Seen her before.

She seemed.. Oddly familiar? Sun reacted positively to her presence. He held her hands in his as the two of them chatted about nonsense.

Wait... She wore a dark blue star themed uniform. The shirt fit her form nicely, a star shaped name tag on her chest.

She wore casual jeans with bright yellow converse. Glancing down he could see her sun printed socks.

He was.. Oddly fascinated by you. Your eyes were such a lovely shade, sparkling like the stars. Your cheeks a pleasant pink, your little laugh filling the room.

Sun must have said something to make you laugh surely. Moon wanted to hear more of it.

If Sun was so close with you, it seemed. Why hadn't he told him about you? Now that wasn't nice, that wasn't nice at all..

How.. Hypocritical.. The daycare attendant loves to share, yet he refused to share you with him.
