The café you were sitting in was bright and colourful, hanging plants and the bright lamps lit up the room as people walked around with cake and drinks.Laughing and chatter filled the café, you were one of the people who contributed to the noise, laughing with Jisoo who sat opposite you. This was the third time you both had met up after you got dinner together, you enjoyed her company a lot, it differed from the tense environment at home.
Its not like Jennie had been treating you badly but she had been colder, it deeply confused you since she was the one who rejected you. But Jisoo wasn’t confusing, Jisoo was straightforward and light, a breath of fresh air from the mindfucking that Jennie gave you.
‘Are you sure it’s ok for us to be going out like this?’ Jisoo asked stabbing her cheesecake with a fork ‘I mean you’re married’
‘I’m married but I’m not in a relationship with her’ You explained, knowing this was going to be hard to explain ‘its a marriage of convenience meaning theres no feelings and we can both see other people’ You flinched at the memory of that girl picking up your phone call to Jennie, you never want to feel that heartbroken feeling again.
‘That makes my head hurt, I just don’t understand it, it must suck to get married and not being in love with them’
‘I don’t mind it too much, it makes my dad happy’
‘What if you want to get married for love one day?’
‘This marriage isn’t a long term thing, its a really long story’
‘Your life confuses me so much’
‘Don’t worry, it confuses me too’ You sighed ‘are you enjoying your cheesecake? I mean this is the best café in the city’
‘Its lovely, I’ve never been to a place as expensive as this, don’t you think $25 is too much for a slice of cheesecake?’
‘Its nothing to me’
‘Look Y/n I know you’re rich but you really don’t need to keep taking me to expensive places to impress me, its not that I don’t appreciate it but I’d be just as happy going to a fast-food place’
‘I’ll let you chose where we go next’ You smiled anxiously, you didn’t know how dating worked, Chaeyoung was your childhood friend and Jennie was you wife, this was your first time ever doing things in the traditional way. ‘I’m sorry, I’m not good at this’
‘Its fine, I can tell you’re nervous but all I ask is you be yourself’
‘Y/n, I see you’ve come here as well’ you turned your head up and saw Jennie standing next to you, you could feel Jennie’s hand on your shoulder, her touch surprised you, lately she’d had a very stern no touching rule. ‘You must be Jisoo'
‘What are you doing here?’ You asked surprised, you never wanted to mix Jisoo and Jennie, the idea terrified you but here they were interacting, you weren’t sure how this was going to go down
‘I was coming here to get some cake for our lunch, but its clear you had lunch plans with someone else’
‘Jisoo, this is my wife Jennie' you introduced ignoring Jennie’s comment
‘Hi’ Jisoo meekly said, clearly intimidated by Jennie’s piercing gaze ‘do you want to join us?’
‘I’d rather not’ Jennie scowled ‘I’m sure Y/n doesn’t want me here’
‘I agree with that’ You replied irritated at Jennie’s rude tone
‘I guess I’ve got to eat the cake I brought at home alone, this is the second time you’ve ditched me for Jisoo'
