You sat opposite Chaeyoung in her large house, the light from the window seeping through as you pulled back the curtains lighting up the area where you were sitting.

You sipped lightly on the fragrant fruit tea that Chaeyoung had handed you, she looked so different coming back from her honeymoon, her hair looked longer and her skin was tanned and glowing from the sun she probably got from the exotic location she was lazing around in for weeks.

‘It was so beautiful’ Chaeyoung gushed as she smiled ‘at first when Lisa suggested it I felt it would be a little too touristy but I was pleasantly surprised, I miss it so much’

‘I’m sure its heaven compared to the city, we’ve been getting a lot of rain’ you replied stoically listening to her rambling.

‘You should come with me next time we go away, you’d love the beaches, Lisa has already said we should go on holiday for longer during the summer, join us?’

‘Nope, I burn easily’

‘So are you going to your upstate mansion for summer as usual?’

‘I think I’m going to stay here, I’ll see what Jennie wants’

‘No offence but won’t Jennie be gone by summer time? I hear your dads not doing well’

‘Oh. Yeah probably’

‘Which is why you should come on holiday with me and Lisa, you’ll be single by then so might as well have a fling with a foreign girl to celebrate’

‘I don’t want to be sun burnt third wheeling you and your wife' you furrowed your brow slowly stirring your tea, you appreciated the sentiment but the last thing you wanted to do was go on holiday with Chaeyoung, especially since you’ll probably be flooded with work.

‘Come on Y/n, as much as I love being married, its so boring, theres no drama, having you around will life my spirits’

‘They’ll be enough drama when forty year old Lisa starts to lose hair and have an affair with a younger girl’

‘Lisa’s a gentlewoman she’d never do anything like that’ Chaeyoung scowled ‘she’s nothing like my mother or any of the older women we know’

‘Mhm whatever you say’

‘Speaking of drama I hear you’re still with Jisoo, its going better than I expected’ Chaeyoung chimed as you flinched in guilt and discomfort ‘wait. By the look on your face I can tell its not as good as I hear’

‘I don’t want to talk about it.’

’We’re friends you can trust me and please I’m literally starved for some gossip, everyone I know is settling down, you’re the only one I have left’

‘Theres not much to tell’ You sighed ‘Me and Jisoo are still casual but its a bit difficult since I was hooking up with Jennie on the side, don’t worry I ended it with Jennie and everything is fine now’

‘Jung Y/n you fucking whore’ Chaeyoung gasped ‘how can you say that with a straight face?’

‘Like I said its not a big deal’ you lied, you didn’t want to worry Chaeyoung and overall the more you pretended like you didn’t care the longer you could dissolve this guilt.

‘And I thought you treated me bad, how could you do this to Jisoo? I’ve only been gone for a few weeks and without me you can’t even make one good decision’

‘I ended it, thats a good decision’

‘It shouldn’t have even happened in the first place’
