Getting to know Doffy

"Shhhhh, hey listen Don" you gently grabbed his face and turned him to look at you. Finally you saw his vermillion (red) eyes. It's true what they say, the eyes really are the windows to the soul. To not get too absorbed in his eyes I continued talking."Do you know who I am? You probably don't, but I'm a hero. Hero's no matter how much pain or struggles they have in their lives. They still save people. It's their job, purpose. To always no matter what help people when they're down. So if you ever feel like you can't take it, or it's too hard to keep up. And you need help, just call my name and I promise I will always be there to save you" you gave him a gentle genuine smile that made his heart swell with warm and fuzzy feelings. He really is in love with you, his saviour.

The rest of the night was filled with stories of your rescue and all the people you saved till Doffy eventually fell asleep. A peaceful smile rested on his face. Getting up you placed a reassuring kiss on his temple then went off to your own room to sleep for the night.

After that night Doffy didn't know what happened to him, but it just clicked for him. He wants no, no he NEEDS you in his life. This has never happened to him before, needing something psh who the hell are you talking about. Definitely not the king of Dressrosa. He's realised a change within him. He notices everything you do and is always somehow involved, you sneeze, he's saying bless you, putting on your shoes he's tying your laces, you're eating lunch with the family, he's cutting up your food to bite sized pieces. It was like he couldn't be away from you.

But the funny thing with all this is he can't look you in the eyes, they're always looking everywhere but you with a really dark red blush on his cheeks. And when he talks to you he no longer had that creepy momo looking murder smile on. Instead he was nervous and flustered, fumbling over his words constantly to the point that someone else in the family would have to tell you what he wanted to say.

This was a big change for everyone in the family, but one person was not having it. Where was the murder psycho she had come to love and admire. That was always confident and on top of every situation. The one that killed his own brother in cold blood is now saying bless you when that Y/n sneezes. Where did he go? That's what Monet wanted to know.

Having more than enough, one one of the rare occasions you were in the toilet and Doffy was waiting outside like some loyal puppy. Monet grabbed his arm and pulled him into one of the many guest rooms.

Doffy was confused, one second he's waiting for his beloved to get out of the toilet the next he's in a room with Monet. He was also pissed, who was she to cut into time he could be spending with you. A visible vein appeared on his face and his ever so familiar smile appeared on his face, after disappearing for what seemed like years. Just as he was about to speak through gritted teeth, Monet spoke up first.

"Young Master, I know it may not be my place to say BUT I think you need to hear this" she was in a cold sweat, no one knows how Doffy will ever react to something. She could live or these could be her last words.

Luckily for her Doffy seemed slightly interested in what she had to say. "Go on" he said in that deep, commanding voice of his. It sent shivers up her spine, yes she was a masochist and a proud one at that.

" Well young Master, I think it's obvious that you like Miss Y/n, but you aren't exactly doing a good job at showing her....no offence " she said close to a whisper at the end. It was so hard to gauge the flamingo's reactions when he always wears the same expression. Doffy let out a scoff clearly offended that she thinks he needs help wooing you, but when he thinks more about it all the women he's had before were whores and sluts after his position. You are different, you don't even like him, you're stronger, stronger than he can even imagine. And to top it all off, even after all he's done to you for the past month and a half is annoying the shit out of you. You..you still treat him like any other person and comforted him when he was at his lowest.
