Bryce Papenbrook: Nightmare

(Your PoV)

I sat up quickly from the terrible images I had just seen. My breathing was heavy and I was shaking slightly. The rain and thunder pounded outside my window and the every so often flashes of lightning illuminated the room.

It was just bad dream. I told myself.

I slipped out of bed and walked down the hall to my roommate's room. Thankfully the door was open and I quietly slipped inside and walked over to the bed. Bryce was sound asleep and I noticed that even when he sleeps, he's smiles.

I put my hand against his bicep and gently starting nudging him. "Bryce? Bryce, wake up."

Bryce begins to stir and his eyes open slightly. "(Y/N)? What's up?"

"I had a bad dream." I said.

"You had a nightmare?"

"Yeah."

"Do you wanna lay down with me?" He asked.

I nodded. Bryce smiled at me and scooted over then patted the spot next to him. I crawled in next to him and we layed facing each other.

"Better now?" He asked.

I motioned to his chest. "Can I?"

Bryce smiled and nodded. He lifted his left arm so that I could scoot closer and snuggle up against his chest. He laid his arm around my back and pulled me closer to him.

"How about now?" He asked again.

"Better. Thank you." I replied.

"Are you okay?" Bryce asked softly. "Do you wanna talk about it?"

I shook my head. "It was different from the others. We can talk about it later."

Bryce nodded gently and placed a light kiss on top of my head. We layed there in silence for a few minutes, as we listened to the rain. I was tucked safely in Bryce's arms and he was gently rubbing circles on my back.

We ended up falling asleep and when I woke up the next morning, I was still in Bryce's arms. He woke up a few minutes after me.

"Good morning." He said.

"Good morning."

"Have any more nightmares?" He asked.

"Nope." I replied. "Think I could sleep with you every night?"

Bryce smiled and gently kissed my forehead. "If it'll help you sleep at night."
