Sitting next to you,
as we sip hot coffee.
Under the stars and dark sky
It was a magnificent time.
We watched as the lights brightened up the city.
Feeling the cool breeze on a high site
With the tiny fireworks from a distant place,
It was a cold night, but I felt your warmth.
Warmth that gives peace to my nervous heart.
Your eyes , genuine smile and the sound of your voice,
It effortlessly made me want to fall.
I ended up smiling as I gazed at you.
I was too comfortable on our first meeting.
As if I knew you my whole life.
No need to filter my words and thoughts.
Don't have to pretend to be anything or anyone.
Maybe you and I just click so naturally.
A connection I can't explain.
Only fate knows if we're meant as friends or something more.
But I'm already grateful that you and I crossed paths.
