Part 54 - And It Begins...

Manik turned her to face him. He then cupped her cheeks. Thats when a tear dropped from her eye unknowingly.

Nandini - Manik I don't want to marry (he didn't react much as he knew from where this was coming, so he let her continue and speak her heart) I am sorry (that's when she started crying) I Love You more than I even love myself but to marry you and start a life with you I have to leave my parents, my sister, my family, my whole world behind.... Why can't I have you all in it, why I have to choose? (He nodded and wiped her tears with his thumb)

Manik - (calmly) who asked you to choose? Who said ke you can't have all of us in one world? Who is asking you to leave 'OUR (emphasizing on our word) Family' behind? (She lowered her head, but he held up her chin with his one hand) Nandini you will not have to leave anyone behind trust me, yes the only change that will be is you will have one more home which you will get to call yours but that doesn't mean ke this home will not be yours. I promise you I won't be that husband joh tumhe kabhi bhi yaha aane se roke! Tum jab chaho yaha aajaana humari iss family ke saath rehne

Nandini - (amidst tears) even if I want to stay here for a month, you won't call me back?

Manik gulped the fact that even after marriage he will have to stay a month away from her, this one month looks so long and she is talking about another month.

Nandini - see yeh sirf bolne ki baatein hai. This is what I was saying. I will be coming in this house for only a few days just like guests, it won't be my home jaha main kitna bhi time reh jaau.

Manik - arre mujhe bolne toh do. Theeke if you want to stay one month then also I won't call you back kyuki main bhi yahi rehne aa jaaunga tumhare saath (he winked making her shocked by his statement)

Nandini - aap yaha one month rukoge mere saath?
(Confirming what she heard was correct)

Manik- toh yeh Mera bhi ghar hoga, meri bhi family hai, toh main nahi ruk sakta kya?

Nandini just hugged him with all the love she had making Manik smile.

Manik - toh ab toh shaadi karogi?

Nandini broke the hug and kissed him on his lips. He reciprocated. It was a short, tender and love filled kiss.

Manik - I assume that is a Yes!

She blushed!

Nandini - you know naa i didn't mean that? I was just scared ke shaadi ke baad kuch change naa ho jaae issliye it just came out.I do want to marry you!

Manik - i know!

RagLak were now sitting on a swing beside the pool. There was a comfortable silence between them. Both had a smile on their lips admiring the perfect moment - soft breeze touching their faces, calmness of water,   faint chirping of birds and them sitting beside each other where no one is talking but it isn't awkward rather it makes the moment more special.

Ragini looked towards Laksh.  His features were glowing in the moonlight. She badly wanted to hold his hand but didn't know if she should or shouldn't. She finally decided not to but she moved her hand closure to his slightly touching his fingers. Laksh looked towards her but she quickly turned her gaze back to the moon like nothing happened. He smiled and didn't move his hand keeping their little fingers intertwined making Ragini blush.

Ragini - (thinking in her mind) Ragini you are behaving like a teenage girl matlab sirf fingers hi toh touch hui hai itna blush kya kar rahi hai. Laksh pkka teko pagal samjhega.

Ragini looked towards him to take a glimpse of him but to her surprise he was already looking at her smiling as if he was studying her reaction. She quickly turned her head away being embarrassed making laksh laugh.
