Summary: This is part of an AU that's been stuck in my head, and although this is not the main plot I can't stop thinking of these certain scenes. So here is an actual summary—Aether attends a high school party as a known prestige student of his school. Somehow he ends up alone in a closet with a guy who's known as a delinquent in his school. But he's not as bad as people make him out to be.

Aether doesn't know how he got into this party full of pretentious high school kids but in their eyes he's probably one of them as well. His father is part of a company that helps their school after all, and that's likely one of the reasons he was invited.

He got an invitation from Yunjin personally, a very popular Chinese girl in his grade, who was hosting it in her huge mansion. She is known for being a very wealthy girl, her mother being a famous opera singer and her father a lawyer—so money was easily not a problem for her.

Yunjin was also a very pretty omega, so it was easy for her to get by and climb up the ranks of popularity in their school. Aether was just a few ranks above her thanks to his dad and him being broadcasted for their school's morning news—it doesn't help that the broadcast is over a TV, that every single classroom has to have. Has he mentioned that he attends a very wealthy school?

A lot of students get in because of recommendations though, so you either have to be super rich or super smart.

Aether was also an omega, a male omega at that. Which was bizarre enough for everyone to see, but once they get over the shock it's easy to move on. But the fact that he was the only one in their school was what got everyone's attention, also the fact that he was a very pretty one.

So it's very easy to assume that he's one of the pretentious privileged ones.

The kind that always gets what they want without lifting a finger.

Aether knows he's privileged and accepts the fact. He did get into the school mainly because of his family's money, and he was in the school's broadcasted morning news because of his father's power. But pretentious?

Not really.

Or that's what he believes.

He thinks about attending the party with his sister, but Lumine rejects the wealthy side of her and chooses not to indulge in it because she hates it unlike him. She was also born an alpha, and because of this their father always expected her to take on after him by being a business woman. Yet Lumine hates it and chooses to pursue art instead.

So Aether has become his favorite now that his alpha daughter isn't doing what he wants her to do.

If he was to ask Lumine to accompany him she'd probably refuse since she doesn't like that sort of setting.

But it's not like only rich kids are attending. He heard from Yunjin's friends that she's inviting just about everyone that is popular enough, and a lot of them aren't popular because of their wealth—more like for their looks.

He thinks about Kazuha, an alpha known for his good looks and perfect grades. Yet, Aether doesn't think he's seen him date any girls; and he knows a lot of them are interested in him with how much he hears about him just from walking down the school halls.

Would he be a student that's also attending?

He does look forward to seeing people like Yanfei and Hutao, who are the perfect couple in everyone's eyes. Both come from very wealthy families but they don't flaunt it and treat everyone as equals. Lumine is close friends with them as well so that tells you something.
