12) The Date

"Okay? Go ahead" finneas said.

"So, you know that I'm bi?!" I started.

"Yes?" He said.

"Well i- i kinda have a crush on billie and i was just wondering if you know i have a chance with her?" I said.

"Really? Wow. First of all, if you two ever get something I'll be your most supportive friend ever. Second of all, yes i do think you'll have a chance if you'd just admit to her that you have a crush she'll definitely think about it and maybe even give you a chance. But wait until the Henry crush thing is over" he said.

"Really? I thought she might have had a crush on me in the past, but now i don't know anymore. It looks like she moved on" i said sadly.

"I don't know, but i think you should tell her how you feel and then we'll see what happens. Only tell her if you feel ready though, 'cause if you don't, then don't" he said.

"Yeah okay, so do you really think i might have a chance?" I asked again.

"Honestly, yes i do" he said and i smiled.

"Thank you!" I said as i went to leave his room. As I'm walking away i hear him scream. "But I'm not sure though" and i silently laughed at that.

Patrick was reading a book and he looked super lonely so i joined him. "What are you reading?" I asked.

"Oh just something Maggie suggested to read" he answered.

"Cool. Listen, I'm so thankful that i get to stay here, but i don't wanna stay too long because I'm scared I'll start to feel guilty. What can i do to pay you back? Because you've already helped me so much!" I said.

"Honestly drew, nothing. You being safe and healthy pays us back. Don't worry about that, okay? It's good for you 'cause you have a place to stay now and it's good for billie 'cause she gets to see you again" he said.

"You know, she cares a lot about you. It's actually insane" he added. I got a weird fuzzy feeling inside and a small smile creeped on my face.

"Aww that's so cute to hear! Are you sure there's nothing i can do? Can't i for example clean the kitchen once in a while as to a thank you for letting me stay here?" I suggested.

"Yes drew, I'm sure. You don't have to do that. Just stay safe and healthy and we'll be fine" he said.

"Well okay thank you so much! Really. I can't believe how nice you all are for me. I haven't been this happy in a while" i said.

"I'm happy you're doing better. Get something to eat, like a snack. I don't care what you get, you're home here so if you're ever hungry just grab whatever you want without asking, okay?" He said.

"Thank you! Will do. Uhm, imma go to Billie's room now if you don't mind" i said.

"Of course i don't mind, go ahead. Make yourself at home" he said back.

I thanked him one more time and went to Billie's room

When i got there i grabbed my headphones and pressed on my playlist. I decided to just sit in bed, eyes closed, music on and just having a moment to breathe and relax.

After a while i heard some footsteps but i just assumed they were Patrick's so i stayed how i were.

Then i heard the door open so i opened my eyes and saw billie in tears standing in the doorway.
