What If

Chapter 2

Aurora watched as her little sister stood up quickly. Shock evident on her face.

"What are you doing here?"

"What? I can't come visit my little sister? In case you forgot Rita, I'm a Santos too."

"I asked what you're doing here."

"Fine I need help"

Aurora got a raised eyebrow in response. She sighed.

"It's Nerissa. The spell I placed in her has been undone. I need to place it on her again, with your help."

"No"

"WHAT!"

"I said no. I won't help. I'm not you Aurora. I don't have take over the ocean on my daily agenda."

Aurora could hear the sarcasm in Rita's voice, and was currently grateful with herself that she hadn't told Rita all the other things she had done.

Cause if Rita knew. She was dead.

Literally.

She quickly shook those thoughts away. No one would find out about that. 

"People think you're dead Aurora." 

Hearing Rita snapped her back to reality. 

"I'll stay hidden, okay. And you don't have to help me. Just give me a place to stay please." 

She pouted slightly, knowing it would get Rita to agree. 

"Fine. Just don't let people see you. Also don't talk to me"

"It'll be like I don't exist." A smirk playing on the older Santos sister's face. ___________________________________________________________

Mimmi sat in her brother's boat house, having just explained the dream she had the night before.

"So, a man..."

"Yes"

"Was calling out mermaid to you? And asked you for help. Is that correct?" 

"That's what my dream was." 

"Do recognize or something"

"No" Mimmi frowned at her own answer.

"Maybe Rita would know. She has the answer to almost anything." 

Mimmi instantly agreed. The two siblings left the boathouse, diving into the canal. And toke off to Rita's.

The two siblings pulled themselves out of the small pool, making theirway to the main part of the grotto.

Rita swam out of her grotto somewhat disturbed from her sister's visit. 

A mermaid followed by her brother stopped in front of her. She signaled them to follow her to the surface. 

"Hi Rita is it okay if we talk" Rita could hear the urgency in Mimi's voice. 

"Of course, come" 

Propping herself on the ledge of her pool, Rita was glad with herself that she had sent her sister away earlier so the two siblings wouldn't see her.

"Tell her"

"I had a dream the other night. It wasn't a normal dream though. There was a man, he kept calling out mermaid to me. As of he knew what I was." 

"What did this man look like Mimmi"

As Mimmi began to describe the man, Rita felt more uncomfortable. The man she was describing was Deniz Santos. 

But that's not possible.

He's supposed to be dead.

"Rita"

"Hmm" Mimmi's voice snapped her out of thoughts. 

"Does he sound familiar?"

"No. I'm afraid not."

She lied.

Had she said yes Mimmi would have asked questions. She's not ready to tell the world who her siblings are. 

Not yet.  ___________________________________________________________

A tall man with dark brown eyes and even darker hair walked to small cafe taking ever around him in. 

After all he had just moved here. 

Stopping in front of something called the Ocean Cafe, he decided to take a seat outside to enjoy the fresh air. 

A blonde female teenager walked to him. 

"Hi I'm Carly what can I get you or do you need a few more minutes?"

"Just a water please for now." 

"Sure"

A few minutes later the girl comes with a glass of water.

"Here you go"

She smiled at him and he gave her one in return. 

Just as he was picking up the cup to drink from it. 

A brunette male teenager bumped into his table, and flying went his water. 

"Oh my god I am so sorry- "

Jumping up from his seat without thinking leaped off the edge of the railing and into the water. 

Being surrounded by bubbles. 

The man's legs morphed into a blue merman tail. 

Just great.

Having just moved to a new place and already getting splashed. 

He thought to himself as he swam off.
