5. An Unwilling 'Yes'

Tae pondered the entire scenario that night. He hadn't gotten any sleep. He was tossing and turning in his bed. His parents have done nothing but support him over the years. They were so supportive when he came out as bisexual.They lent their shoulders to Taehyung after that horrible breakup.

But, above all, he posed a question to himself.

"Do I not deserve to live a happy life?"

And he deserved it more than anyone else on the planet.But loving Jungkook is not something he can guarantee.He isn't even interested in him.He was worried that he'd eventually end up ruining both of their lives.
After having a close knit discussion with his own mind. He came downstairs where his parents were seated.

"Mom, dad, do whatever you like, I am okay with it" Tae said softly while lowering his head.

"What? Really?? Oh my God, baby.I am extremely happy. " Both of his parents hugged him snugly, and Juhoo took his phone and informed Jungkook's father.

Jungkook's home was devastatingly unhappy after that incident,What was once filled with giggles and noises is now deathly quiet.

Jungkook locked himself in his room. His father hasn't said anything since. His mother was probably having the worst time dealing with her husband and son at the same time.

Jungkook was confused.

He was well aware that he was about to give up his life for the sake of his parents.
He had never found a man attractive in his entire life, and now he was forced to marry a stranger.
Marriage is a major leap in both of their lives.
But seeing his parents suffer was the last thing he wanted to see.
Jungkook knew that if he rejected this proposal, he would make his parents unhappy, and Nevertheless, he had no desire to witness his parents' suffering.Jungkook understood that if he took this offer, he would be throwing himself into a wormhole,there was no escape. In the end, he made the decision to put up with the agony in order to please his parents.He informed his parents about his decision. His father's face lit up like a thousand watts bulb and his mother's face was also gleaming with happiness.
Both their families were on cloud nine except for the two young men...

"Kook, kiddo, please finish your work before 6 o'clock and come home early," Yaami asked Jungkook.

"Why, Mom? Anything special? "He batted an eyelid.

"Yes, baby, you must pick up Tae from his home and join him on a dinner date."

"Mom,a date!!!?
and with a guy?
All of this is new to me, mom, and certainly strange "

"But, kook, I've already informed Taehyung. Please be a gentleman and follow my instructions "

"Yeah mom, I'm doing whatever you tell me to" Jungkook said bitterly as he exited the office.

Jungkook sighed for the nth time while getting ready for the dinner date .With all his might he hated it....he hated all of it...but he made this decision now he have to face the consequences.

He was finally ready and ended up going to Kim's.

Taehyung was no better.His last date was two years ago.
He was utterly uninterested in today's event. But his mother forced him to accompany the younger
He wasn't in the mood to dress up, so he wore a simple denim outfit. Little did he know, he was breathtakingly handsome in whatever he wore.

Then he found himself sitting in the passenger seat of Jungkook's car, with a soft melody by Taylor Swift playing in the background. Tae smiled as he walked in,but the younger didn't even look at him.
What a jerk, he thought.

Pindrop silence consumed the car ride.It was also extremely awkward. Finally, they arrived at the restaurant. The seats had already been reserved for them. Jungkook cringed at the candlelight arrangement that his parents had arranged for him.

"I guess our parents went a little crazy," Taehyung remarked awkwardly.

Jungkook could only say, "Yeah."

Taehyung noticed the uncomfortable expression on Younger's face as they began eating.

He hadn't eaten anything yet... he was jabbing the meat with a fork while constantly thinking.

"Look, Jungkook, I know you're forced to agree to this marriage as well.
We just need to perform a ceremony and then we'll be able to fly away and live our lives separately. Our parents will never know"Taehyung spoke monotonously.

"It's easy for you to say, Taehyung, but I've got a huge ass company to look after," Jungkook grumbled.

"Then let's do something else. Let's figure something out together," Tae said with a small smile.

"How do you expect me to figure something out when I am straight taehyung?" Jungkook asked, his face blank.

"Look, we--wait, what? straight? You...? " Taehyung's mouth was open wide.

The rage was visible on Jungkook's face. "Yes, I am as straight as a line, and guess what, my parents didn't even consider it." He laughed at his own misery

"I... I am..."

"There is nothing we can do about this, Taehyung. We are entangled in this shithole together. They even decided on the wedding date. Now there is no going back."

Taehyung despised this marriage, but his disdain increased when he heard what the younger said.
He felt really bad for jungkook.
And yeah they have no other options in front of them.
