41. Cozy Camping

On the ground, the setting light created extensive shadows. A warm orange hue was added to the sky by the sun's slanting rays as it set. Jimin did his magic and persuaded taehyung to accompany them. Here they are yoonmin, taehyung, taehyung's parents, in the middle of a breathtaking forest for camping.

They cautiously rounded the bend and eventually caught a glimpse of their usual spot. Taehyung had a strong sense of loneliness when he jumped out of the truck's front seat, his heart ached to be here with his love, Jungkook. When he turned to look around, all he could see were the trees' shimmering leaves caused by the persistent wind. Newly fallen pinecones covered the forest floor like a blanket. Aside from the birds, they could only hear the golden leaves crunching under their feet.

Tae took a moment to shed all his worries for a moment, he closed his eyes and inhaled the earthy smell that was wandering around the forest. His eyes immediately opened when Jimin's hands wrapped around his shoulder.

"Hey, trust me, your grumpiness will gradually melt away," Jimin smirked at him, but the other male didn't quite understand what he was saying.

"Tae come with me, yoongi hyung, and your father has already begun to set up our tent." Jimin dragged his arms behind him and followed him without further protest.

Taehyung was befuddled when they got at the location.

"Chim, why are there four tents, I mean yoongi hyung and you will be sharing one, one for mum and dad, one for me, it's three in all," his brows knitted together.

"Actually, your dad has already invited Jungkook's parents," jimin rubbed his neck.
The mention of that particular name caused taehyung to look up.

"Oh!, Then why didn't mom tell me about it?"
The sound of a car approaching them attracted their attention before he had time to wait for Jimin to respond.

When Taehyung noticed Jungkook's parents exiting the vehicle, he grinned and began to approach them. But he stopped in his tracks when he noticed a particular man following them.
Jeon Jungkook was dressed in a black turtleneck sweater and grey pants. His chest was on the verge of discharging his heart. the same dark, ebony eyes that he fell in love with. As soon as their eyes met, a familiar warmth engulfed his heart. When Taehyung saw that bunny smile, his entire body erked to embrace Jungkook. Instead, he approached his in-laws and greeted them.

"Sweetie, how have you been?" hugged Jungkook's mother.

"I'm well, Mom, and it's great to see you here. Let's go, they're waiting for us "Taehyung led the two elders to their campsite, leaving a heartbroken Jungkook behind.

"Drop that frown, buddy. He will surely come back to you"Jimin tapped the younger on the shoulder.

Jungkook just sighed and followed Jimin into the forest.

The night brought such a silence that the crackle of the campfire was all that could be heard, a natural music in the black-duvet night. Flames sent red sparks dancing into the breeze. River sat close on a mossy log, taehyung's face toasted warm, mesmerised, relaxed. The smoke twirled heavenward charming his worries away. All of them sat around the campfire, Yoongi and Jimin were wrapped up in a warm blanket while the elders roasted marshmallows over a fire.
Taehyung appeared to be a stunning painting that took aeons to create as Jungkook sat across from him without a moment's break from looking at his husband.

It was Jungkook's mother calling out, "Kook, come on, sing for us."

"What? No, mom, I'm not feeling it right now". Taehyung, who was staring down, caught his attention.

Yoongi rolled his eyes and said, "Oh don't spoil the vibe jungkook, just sing."

When Jungkook noticed Jimin gesturing for him to sing while giving him a menacing face, he was prepared to refuse it. He grasped the idea and fiddled with his fingers for a few seconds to determine which song to sing.
