I didn't know it was going to take forever to get anything. We ended up napping until one of the devices went off. The REM Pod. It beeped loudly at the door. We had the door open and stuck the REM pod in the doorway, which meant that whatever was there was at the door. Jeremy and I shot straight up from our nap. It was so loud that I thought it was a fire alarm. We both looked at the REM pod and started walking towards it, but stopped when it stopped.
"Get the EVP recorder," I whispered to Jeremy. He got the recorder off my night stand and handed it to me. It was like he was scared, so I took control over the situation. I grabbed it and held it still. It was still recording from earlier. "Is there anybody here with us?" I waited. "Is there something you want to tell us?" I waited again. Then the REM pod went off. I stopped recording, deciding to hook everything up to mine or Jeremy's computer later. Yes or no questions it is.
"Im going to ask yes or no questions. One beep for yes, two or more beeps for no." The REM Pod beeped. "Are you stuck here?" Beep. "Did you die here?" Mulitple beeps. "Did you die on the property?" Beep. "Did I see you in the hallways earlier this evening?" Beep.
I looked at Jeremy and he was snow white. He looked like he was gonna faint. It was like he was actually seeing a ghost. When I looked in the direction he was looking at, which was not at the REM Pod, I went a bit white, too. There was a little boy standing by my bed. As soon as I opened my mouth, the boy ran from the room and down the hall. We said screw asking questions and darted out into the hallway. The boy was at the far end of the hall by the only set if stairs that lead to the tower.
Now, seeing a boy wasnt that scary. Knowing it wasnt a physical human was a bit scary. It was the look on his face, though, that was chilling. How he looked entirely was chilling. He had on a suit with a ruffled collar. He seemed to be about 10 years old. His face was pale, but his expression was dark. It was as if a dozen shadows were being cast over his face. He had pale lips and dark hallow eyes. He pointed at the stairs then with the blink of an eye, he was gone.
"Should we go where he wants us to go?" I asked Jeremy.
"Mrs. Richards said that the attic was off limits," Jeremy whispered.
"What if we go tell her what happened?" I frowned.
"No, Let's gather our things and hook them up to my computer." Jeremy quickly went to the end of the hallway opposite where the boy was. "I'll start with this. Can you get that one over there?"
"Yeah." I gulped and started to slowly walk towards the stairs. I reached for the go pro when I heard footsteps behind me. I jumped and spun around. It was just Erika, but she was with Camille, and that caught me off guard. "Hey, what are you two doing up here? This is the guy's hallway."
"We were asking this thing questions and it lead us up here," Erika said plainly.
"Actually, it was saying your name," Camille stuttered.
"Well, I'm fine." I raked a hand through my hair and gave the best smile I could right now since I was still scared to bit.
"Okay, just be careful." Camille gave me a small smile then started towards the stairs.
"Hey, Michael," Erika said, which caused Camille to stop and look back at us. "Don't go chasing ghosts."
"I-I won't," I said in surprise. Erika nodded towards the stairs, which I looked at, but saw nothing. "Thanks for the warning, though."
"No problem." Erika took Camille's arm and they both went back down the stairs.
I quickly grabbed the Go Pro and went into my room. I moved the REM Pod and shut the door. Jeremy had his gear set up on my small desk in the room. He probably didn't want any residual energy in his room, which was no how that worked. He acknowledged me before continuing to pull up apps onto his computer. He plugged the EVP recorder into his computer with a USB cable. When he clicked on the device, it brought up an audio frequency analyzer, and he selected the file. At first, we could hear us setting the recorder down. Then, we heard our snoring. It was like that for a long time... Until...
