Our world went dark. It felt like forever in a black void. Then there was a blinding yellow light. I blinked a dozen times and found myself laying in bed. My clothes were wet, my shoes were muddy, and I was cold. I sat up and looked around. Everything was normal. Only, I have no idea how I got to my room. I saw that both bathroom doors were open and saw Jeremy passed out face down in his room. I got up, tore my muddy shoes off, and raced to his room. I got to him and shook him awake.

"Dude, wake up!" I nearly shouted at him. I rolled him on his back, shaking him. He shot straight up with a massive gasp. "What the hell happened?"

He looked around, clearly just as confused as I was, and stared at me wide eyed. Then he slapped me in the face. I moved back and shook my head.

"What was that for?" I snapped.

"Had to be sure you were real," he gasped as he stared down at his equally muddy shoes. "How did we get back?"

"I have no idea." I looked around the room and walked into my room and looked around. "All of our gear is here, too. Did we sleep walk back in?"

"There is no way. Last thing I remember is that voice. Then everything went dark." Jeremy shuddered as he took off his shoes, brushing dirt off the bed. He seemed terrified, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't.

"Let's shower, look at what we have on the cameras and the recorder, then let's chill in here. We'll even invited the girls if you want." It was a good suggestion so we could just relax. I didn't want to think about last night. I looked at the time 1 PM. When did we get back? How long were we gone? How long have we been asleep?

"That sounds like a great idea."

"I figured the though if Camille would take your mind off of things." I chuckled and grabbed a towel from the racks above the toilet. "I'm going to take a shower first, if you don't mind."

"Good idea. you have dirt in your hair," Jeremy teased.

"You have dirt on your face," I retorted. "Oh, wait, that's normal."

"You jerk." Jeremy got up and tackled me before I could run. I laughed as I shoved him. We wrestled around before he put me in a headlock. He's always been stronger than me, so there was no getting out of it. "I'm not letting go til you say the magic words."

"What are you? Nine?" I choked before laughing.

"I know you know the words," Jeremy said as he squeezed a little.

"Okay, fine." I laughed. "I'm a dollop head."

Jeremy released me with a laugh. "I can't believe you actually said it."

"You were choking me." I hit him with the towel. "I'm gonna shower now."

"Have fun, but not too much fun. Save that for Erika." He wiggled his brows.

"What is your obsession with me and her?" I turned on the shower and took off my jacket.

"You two just suit each other. Creepy gothic girl and crazy handsome guy. Not gonna lie, she is pretty hot." Jeremy grabbed his bag and hefted it onto the chair in his room. I smirked at the memory of seeing her in that black dress from a few nights ago. "You know I'm right. You're smiling."

"Whatever."

After my shower, which was longer than normal since I had to scrub so much dirt out of my hair. I got out, wrapping my towel around my waist, and heading to my room to get clothes. Jeremy got in the shower while I dug through my suitcase. There was a ding on my phone and I paused. I had no service up here in the mountains. My mom even knew that, so she wouldn't bother calling or texting me while I was here. I looked at my phone and there was a text from somebody, not my mom, dad, or anybody in my contacts. I read it and scratched my head.
