That next morning seemed a lot colder than it should have been. I could hardly sleep, neither could Jeremy. We stayed awake in silence, the heater being the only noise in the room. I couldn't look at him because I didn't know what to say. After being at the police department for hours, I doubt we knew where to start.

"Michael," Jeremy finally piped up as I exited the shower. "What happened last night?"

"What all do you want to know?" I sighed as I grabbed a black button up and my black slacks. I set them on the bed and looked at Jeremy.

"I want you to be honest with me." I nodded in understanding. "What did you do last night? What did you talk about with the detectives? Why are you dressing to fancy? Where are you going? Bro, you have been out of whack since we got here."

"Well, we found out some interesting stuff yesterday. Me being adopted, my father is a serial killer, the whole lineage on my dad's side are serial killers, I own a mansion, Erika and I found a torture chamber underground, and Mr. Richards and I uncovered a room full of dead bodies." I was calm the entire time. "I would say I'm pretty freaked out right now, so that would explain the fact I'm 'out of whack' and my grandfather Mr. Grigori is attached to me, somehow possessing me, which is odd-"

"Wait, you're possessed? I thought only demons did that."

"I thought so, too." I sighed. "It's not exactly possession. It's like an attachment. I can't explain it."

"Try."

"It's like he's inside me, but he's not. When he speaks to me, it's from behind me, but sometimes he over powers me and speaks through me. I don't understand it." I shook my head, drops of water hit my nose as my hair moved. I felt Grigori stir as I spoke about him. "Like, right now, it feels like he is stirring inside of me."

"That is weird."

"No, what's weird is you not calling me crazy."

"I already know you're crazy." Jeremy laughed. "I'm just rolling with the punches on all of this since we are both confused right now."

"Well, I'm going to talk to somebody who will hopefully clear things up." I grabbed my clothes and went into the bathroom.

"Who would that be?" Jeremy raised his voice so I could hear him.

"I have a feeling that I'm going to find that out, too." I laughed as I put on my briefs then slacks. "I'm taking that detective through everything from yesterday, so I'm going back to the mansion. He is bringing the person with him."

"Are you going alone?"

"Yeah." I slipped on my button up as I walked out of the bathroom. "The detective wants it to be just me."

"Odd, but okay. I mean, wouldn't he want Erika's side of it, too."

"I don't know. I wasn't going to ask." I shrugged, buttoning up my shirt.

"And why are you looking nice for a simple thing like this?"

"I don't know. It just feels right." I frowned. Just as Jeremy went to open his mouth, there was a knock on the door. I buttoned up the last button before opening the door. It was Detective Loyd. "Come on in. I will be just one moment."

"Thanks, son." He walked in and looked at Jeremy before sitting down in one of the chairs. Jeremy just shifted uncomfortably under Loyd's stare. I walked into the bathroom and tucked my shirt into my slacks. I exited the bathroom and grabbed my socks and shoes.

"I wasn't aware of how early you would be," I stated as I slipped on my shoes.

"I guessed a teenager such as yourself would be up at eight, so I took my chances for thirty minutes after." Loyd looked at Jeremy with a watchful eye. Jeremy just sat there, clearly unsettled by the situation.
