It was three days before we left, and honestly, I didn't want to leave. I don't know if it was the attachment I had to the mansion, or it was that I didn't want to face the real world yet. What I do know is that I had to break Alexa's heart. I only wanted Erika. I just didn't know how. What surprised me today was the fact I woke up because of a knock on my door. I got up, stretching, and opened the door. I opened it to see Diaz. She was dressed simple today. She had on a loose red sweater, black leggings, and black, knee high boots. Her lips were cherry red, her eye shadow was dark red with eyeliner and long lashes. Her hair was half up with her bangs shaping her face.
"Good morning, Diaz," I said as I kept looking her up and down. "You look beautiful today."
"Thank you. I do my best." She winked. "Anyway, Loyd, as well as some lawyers are here for the finalization of the will." She smirked as she looked at me. "As much as I enjoy the view, you probably want to get dressed."
"Probably." I chuckled. "Are you going to wait downstairs or do you want to come in?"
"I better avoid the temptation." She smirked and walked down the hall. I chuckled and shut the door.
"What will?" Jeremy suddenly said behind me. It spooked me. I turned around and saw him with his arms crossed over his chest. "You're hiding something from me. We don't do that to each other, Michael." He walked to me, getting in my face. "What is going on?"
"Jeremy, I think you should sit down." I scratched the back of my head. He hesitated but sat down in the chair next to him. "What all do you know?"
"That you had weird dreams of this place, and haven't had weird dreams since we got here. After that one day of seeing that ghost child-" He shuttered "-we chose not to do anything else."
"I see," I mumbled. "Well, I found a will that has my name on it. Well, my biological grandfather's name on it. When I said that me going to the police station was a family matter, it wasn't a lie. I wouldn't lie to you, Jeremy."
"How did you find this will?" Jeremy narrowed his eyes at me and I looked away from him.
"I never exactly stopped snooping around." Not a lie. "It's in some old records. Along with my actual birth certificate."
"What do you mean?"
I chuckled nervously. "My name is actually Michael Grigori. I was adopted, and my parents changed my name."
"I didn't know that." Jeremy scratched his head. "So what is this will?"
"It has a lot of details in it. One of them being this mansion. Don't worry, I'm not kicking the Richards's out." I chuckled. "I'm claiming the mansion and the money that comes with it. It will put me through college. That's the main reason."
"Okay. Just don't do anything stupid." Jeremy glared as he got up and went into his room.
"After we graduate, I know you have plans to go to college. What college have you decided on?" I watched his retreating back. He paused and shook his head.
"I can't afford it. Even with a scholarship."
"After today, I can help you with that. Jeremy, please understand that I'm not doing this just for me." I was pleading at this point. I didn't want him mad at me. He was my best friend. "You can get away from your father."
"We will see." He shut the door on his side of the bathroom. I sighed and began to get ready. I put on my new pair of slacks and a nice dark blue button up. I quickly put on socks and tied up my new shoes. I left the room and put my key in my pocket. I walked down the steps as quick as I could without falling. I made it to the lobby where I heard quite a bit of protesting.
