once i started to drive to the hotel, i felt a brief sting in my chest. It caused me to slam on my breaks in the middle on the highway. I kept going since traffic was almost non existent considering it was mid day on a random Tuesday.

I decided to brush it off even though it hurt pretty badly.

When I reached the hotel, I first went to the receptionist to pickup my room key that Amanda had set aside for me.

"Hi, I'm nailea, there should be a key for me?" I said subtly peeking over the counter.

"Hm, I have you on the list but no keys left." She said picking up her glasses.

"Oh, that's alright. Can you just let me know the room number and I can call Amanda later?" I asked. She nodded and told me the room number.

I headed up the elevator and to the room. I banged on the door. "OPEN UP VINNIE!" I yelled. I heard footsteps through the door. The lock twisted and the door opened. It was Miranda.

I don't hold a grudge or anything, but like...why is she like that towards me? I didn't do anything to her. All I did was fake being in a relationship with the guy she's attracted to. I don't even know why I got jealous. Maybe it's because I've known him longer so I get first dibs?

"Oh. It's you." She said. Her body was purposefully placed in a position where I couldn't get in.

"Could you let me in please?" I asked, annoyed.

"Wow. Not even a hello. You know, if we're gonna be co stars you've gotta cooperate with me." She said as she moved out of my way. "Also there weren't enough rooms for all of us to get our own so you and Vinnie are sharing."

My face turned white. "What?" I asked, walking in the door.

"Unless you want him to share with me?" She said with a wide grin. "No. It's fine. I'm fine." I said angrily. She pointed to mine and Vinnie's room. Hopefully there's two beds.

I walked into the room. Thank god there were two beds. I started to get hungry and felt that sharp, brief pain again. I walked it off and went to the mini fridge in the corner of  the hotel room. That's when it hit me.

"Hey, Miranda, how many keys to the hotel room do you have?" I asked suspiciously. "Two. Wh-" she stopped.

"I KNEW IT!" I said laughing. "I'm not mad. I really do want to be friends with you." I said. Because I do. I feel like she would be a nice person under all....THAT.

She turned to look my way and handed me a key.

"Alright then. Let's play truth or dare. To see what kind of people we really are." She said. I nodded and smiled.

"Truth or dare?" She asked me. "Truth." I said. I always start with truth because you never know what they could dare you to do or say.

"Ha, playing it safe, huh? Right. Is it true that you're dating Vinnie?" She asked. It wouldn't hurt to say just a little white lie...right?

"Yes!" I said in a high pitched voice. That's how you know I'm lying.
