Thursday
Keith's P.O.V.

I had actually toughened up and managed to walk into my classroom this morning. AP Chemistry.

I arrived only a few minutes before class was supposed to start and not a single person was in here besides me. Not even the teacher.

I pulled out my phone and began playing Angry Birds while I waited for class to begin.

A few people started to filter in and out before the bell rang. That's when everyone piled in. It was instantly very chaotic.
A few more students walked in over the course of the next ten minutes.

I wasn't paying attention to anyone who walked through that door. That is, until this one particular guy walked in, who instantly caught my attention. After taking in his whole appearance, I looked away, unamused to be facing Lance again.

He was accompanied by a guy bigger than himself with a dark brown complexion and deep black, straight hair that was parted through the middle. Along with a much shorter character with fluffy light brown, almost dirty blonde hair, with a tinge of a ginger tones to it. They wore big, round glasses that sat on their light-skinned baby face.

I heard one of them walking over to me. I swear to god if it's Lance I'll-

"Excuse me, I believe you're sitting in my seat." A familiar, voice said accusingly.

I mentally groaned and looked over to him. I took in his appearance once more before looking back at my phone screen.

Lance gasped dramatically. "Did you just ignore me?"

I subtly rolled my eyes and went back to my game of Angry Birds.

He sat down in the empty seat to my right. "Hold on, look this way."

What the fuck is this guy's problem. I sighed and looked up at him after some slight hesitation.

His eyes widened. I was slightly confused until I saw where his eyes were looking. My nose.

"I see you've got uhh..." He said, motioning towards his own nose.

I think he's talking about the bandage. "Oh.. yeah." I shifted awkwardly and touched my fingers to my nose gently. I turned my head away from him, embarrassed.

"I am so sorry!" He cried. "That looks terrible!"

I looked around, trying to make sure nobody looked my way, seeming as though Lance drew a lot of attention from the way he was shouting. Nobody was looking our way. Thankfully, they were all every engaged in their own conversations. "'Tis fine."

This is awkward. We both sat there, keeping amongst ourselves doing nothing but sitting there.
Our teacher finally walked into the classroom and sat at his desk, organising a few things.

"How was your night?" Lance suddenly asked.

"Good?"

He smiled and nodded his head.

"Besides being forced to go to the hospital by my dad and having to sit there all night, only feeling guilty for him spending so much money on me." I said. "But hey, it's not exactly my fault. I blame this weird guy from my shitty new school for that."

Lance furrowed his eyebrows and sat up. He didn't respond, he just looked out the window silently. He grabbed the breakpoint of his jacket and pulled it over top of the other side of his jacket and wrapped his arms around myself.

I sighed and waited for the lesson to begin.

Lance tapped on my desk with the eraser-end of his pencil to grab my attention.
