Taurus held his phone to his ear closely as he listened to one of the many voice messages Tione had sent him. He tried his best to stay as quietly as he could, hoping that Crystal wouldn't catch him. There's no telling what she would do if she found out Taurus was still contacting him.

"Hey, I know you're still probably upset with me but please pick up. I've been really worried about you and I just wanna know if you're okay. Crystal didn't hurt you, did she?" He could since the worry in Tione's voice as he continued to listen. "Call me when you get the chance." As much as he wanted to, he couldn't. He didn't want Crystal to do anything to Tione. How was Taurus supposed to tell him that he was safe?

He thought for a moment. Why not just text Tione? Not only would it be safer but he would still get the chance to tell Tione he was okay. Without hesitation, he began to type. "Sorry I haven't been answering your calls. I wanted to call you, I really did but Crystal won't let me. She said she gone beat both of our asses if she sees us talking again." He warned. He waited anxiously for a reply.

"That bitch ain't gone do shit to us, don't worry bout her. If she touches you she gone have to deal with me. I wasn't playing with her dusty ass before and I'm damn sure not playing with her now." Tione replied. "That hoe didn't touch you right?" Taurus wasn't sure how to respond. He didn't want Tione to worry but at the same time, he felt the need to inform him. Maybe if he downplayed the situation, everything would be fine.

"I mean, it was only a lil slap. It didn't hurt too bad. To be fair, I was bothering her so I kinda deserved it."

"That bitch put her hands on you? Oh hell nah, she finna make me come back there." Taurus panicked.

"Shit." He mumbled under his breath. "Don't do it, it's not worth it." As if things couldn't get any worse, he heard footsteps approaching the room. Why couldn't everything just go right for once?

"Hurry up, you're gonna make us late!" Crystal spat as the door swung open. "The fuck is taking you so long? You're not even dressed!" Taurus tried his best to explain himself.

"I must've lost track of time, I'm sorry. I was gonna get dressed soon, I promise. Just give me a lil more time." Crystal didn't believe him.

"Stop lying to me and tell me what really happened!" She shouted. It didn't take long for her to notice the phone clutched tightly in his hands. "You were talking to him again, huh? I thought I told you to stop talking to him."

"No, it's not him. It's someone else, he didn't do anything. I already stopped talking to him." Taurus lied while stammering over his words. "I promise you it's not him."

"Then who is it?" Taurus grew quiet. What was he supposed to say? Tione was the only person he ever really talked to. He gasped as the phone was snatched out of his hands.

"What the fuck Crystal? Give it back!" Taurus demanded as he reached for the phone. Crystal shook her head.

"Since you don't wanna tell me, I'll find out my fucking self." Taurus watched as Crystal began to look through his phone. It was over. Because of him, Crystal was going to hurt the both of them. He couldn't bare the thought of anything happening to his best friend. He sighed before speaking.

"Why are you looking through my shit? You can't just trust me?" Taurus questioned.

"Maybe I would if you didn't do sneaky shit like this behind my back. Remember what I told you yesterday? I specifically said not to talk to him yet you did just that. How am I supposed to trust you?"

"I know what you said but he was really worried about me and he wanted to make sure I was okay. He thought something happened to me." Crystal continued to look at the messages before throwing the phone back at him. "What's wrong with you?"

"You told him that I hit you?"

"Well yeah but I said that it was okay. I said that I deserved it for bothering you." Taurus admitted. "But I didn't think he would react like that. I thought that he wouldn't care!"

"You got motherfuckers out here thinking I abuse you! You don't know how good you have it here!" Crystal yelled.

"I wouldn't say I have it too good since you be hitting me and shit! I'm tired of it and I don't want my son to be exposed to it any longer! I want a normal relationship. You used to be cool but now you acting the fuck out, why can't you go back to how you used to be? Why do you gotta treat me like this?"
