I'd always been fascinated by that one moment in the story where the story begins to change, the plot starts to thicken, basically any other way to say that something happens. I believe that in mine this is that part. Amity suggested we go to the mall and so I did. We went to a lot of stores, and pretty soon it was already 5:30 so I decided to call my mom and mother and tell them to pick me up at 6:00 (Mom is Victoria and Mother is Sadie).
"Hey! We should go to the crystal store." Buddy said as he pointed at the store, his parents (Mrs. and Mx. Dakota are the coolest parents between Amity, Buddy, and I) are Pagan or something similar, I'm not very familiar with the religion so I'm not sure, he grew up constantly going to crystal stores and the herb section in the grocery store and was very familiar with the different kinds of crystals.
"Sure! I was planning on buying some because they'd look really good in my room and I have a crystal cage somewhere and I haven't used it because my crystals are pretty small. I responded
We walked into the store and we saw none other than the Fun-tastic Four. I immediately hid my face and walked to the other side of the store and looked at some of the crystals. I picked out a little rose quartz, amethyst, azurite, celestite, citrine, fluorite, garnets, and malachite that all came in a small draw-string bag.
When I went to buy the crystals with Amity and Buddy who had both gotten a couple crystal cages I saw a familiar face. My neighbor Hecate Abbott, a college student studying at UCLA for a degree in computer engineering. At the same time, Arlen stands next to me with a couple of medium sized crystals. All of a sudden Hecate gasps and grabs both me and Arlen and drags us to the employee only area. She sits us down at a table and starts to grab a bunch of weird stuff out of her bag like bones and a coin that said no on one side and yes on the other.
She grabbed me and Arlen's hands and said "The Lovers and Death!" She said as she pulled out 2 tarot cards that said "The Lovers" and "Death (XIII)"
"YOUR FATES ARE CONNECTED BY SOME KIND OF ENERGY!" She screamed, it was unsettling to watch a 19 year old girl scream at the top of her lungs about fate
I pulled my hand away and stood up, I slapped a pile of cash on the table and slowly walked away as I looked at both Hecate and Arlen. On my way out I heard Arlen say "What were you saying about our connected fate?"
I grabbed Amity and Buddy and we headed out with our crystals. I walked out and saw my moms pulling up and I hugged Buddy and Amity good bye and left
I was tossing and turning all night, I couldn't get Arlen out of my head. He was so stupid yet so handsome, ugh! I hate him
I woke up the next morning and I had an awful headache, I stood up and I looked around. I was in a room with grey colored walls. This isn't my room. I looked in front of me and I saw in the mirror not my face but Arlen's. I don't think I'm Arieanna anymore. I know it's unrealistic and a stupid conclusion but I think I'm in Arlen's body which probably means, he's in mine. I remembered what today was. Today is the debate competition AND the football game, I have to go to the debate competition and Arlen has to go to the football game. What the heck am I suppose to do?!
