I feel my baby heart beating inside in anticipation and excitement. I am going to a party!

I am sitting in the back seat of the car alone, while the driver and Joseph are occupying the front. Today is the Governor's birthday. So I am going to his home on Edwin's request to my father.
Richard didn't want to send me as there will be so many people. But Edwin convinced him saying it's not a big party, only the most important persons will be there. And he promised to take care of me, so Richard agreed.
Richard has an important meeting in the evening, but he assured me he will be at the party after it gets over.
I have never been to a party outside the palace. So I am wondering what it would be like to be at the party with many new people. Uff!
Though on one side I am excited for the party, on the other side I am anxious as I am going to Edwin's home, which is very soon going to become my home. Just one day!
