Katsuki POV:
It was all perfect in the beginning. I was happy for once in my fucking life. I smiled more often, I laughed loudly, and I didn't constantly explode someone else faces when they annoy me. Well, almost.
I had a fucking good childhood that I, my egotistical self won't trade for the world. Those days meant everything to me. Those days were what made me the guy that I am today. And that was mostly because of my nerd of a friend.
His name was Izuku Midoriya, my childhood best friend.
At first, I hated him a little since he would always chase after me wherever I go and would always call me 'Kacchan' as a nickname. I would constantly call him 'nerd' as my own nickname for him since he was one.
He was a big nerd about heroes and shit and would always talk about them with me. He would go on and on about his favorite heroes and their quirks. His favorite would be Eraserhead since the guy was his fucking uncle.
He admired the old dude since he always fought with instinct and his physical abilities since his quirk wasn't suitable for fights. That was because he can only erase other people's quirks with his red glowing eyes.
He was pretty fucking annoying, but at least we shared one common thing that made me not be annoyed of him just a little. And that was becoming a Pro Hero one day and attend U.A. Hero School University when we reach 18 years old.
That was the dream we both had. A dream that kept us from pushing each other to our limits, just for us to reach our dreams.
Let me begin this weird shitty story from the start, from the very beginning. Where me and that nerd were still kids, where we were starting to just chase our hero dreams
Right of the bat we already knew each other when we were both in diapers since his mom and my old hag had been best friends since they were young. They would always plan to meet each other and would bring me and Izuku to have a play date while the both of them would talk and chat to each other.
I didn't really have much memory of when I was a baby since I was still a fucking baby! But I do remember constantly hitting Izuku with a block and making him cry. Yeah, that was a good time.
Anyways, we started becoming friends when we were 4 years old and we would always walk along the creek behind our houses. I remembered myself leading the way with a butterfly net and him walking behind me eagerly. The creek was mostly surrounded by many trees since it connected to a luscious forest. The sun was high up in the sky that day with no clouds on sight. It was the perfect time for us to explore that area.
Since we were 4, we were both excited since this was the time where our quirks would manifest and that means that we were both a step closer into becoming heroes.
"Hey Kacchan, do you think I would get a cool quirk?" The nerd asked me and I looked behind and saw his worried and anxious expression.
"Well duh! Of course, you're gonna have a cool quirk. But it won't be as cool as mine!" I said to him with my chin high and my fist pounding on my chest confidently. This seemed to lighten the nerd's face a little bit.
"I know you're gonna have a cool quirk Izu, if you don't then so what?" I said to him and in turn, he had a confused expression.
"But if I don't have a cool and powerful quirk, then how can I be a hero?" He said with tears threatening to leave his eyes.
"Your uncle doesn't have a powerful quirk either, but he's one of the strongest and coolest heroes out there," I said back as he had a shocked face, thinking about his uncle. "You just have to work hard in order to become a hero, just like your uncle!"
