Y/n pov:
I sat in my room, trying to hold in tears. To be honest, as much as I deny it, what I said was true. Sometimes I really do wish I was never born.I decided to go for a walk to clear my head and focus on my task at hand. I change into something a bit more suitable for the chilly weather outside.
You wear this ^
I walked into the kitchen to get my keys and saw Loki in the lounge room. "Where're you going?" Loki asked, not looking up from his book. "None of your information." I answered, grabbing my keys off the kitchen table and heading for the garage.
The garage has at least ten cars in it, lining the walls. I chose the car that would give me the least amount of attention. I hopped into the car and started the engine. I cranked up the music and drove out onto the road. I pressed the button for the sun roof to come down, and let the wind whip through my hair. After about 10 minutes, I put in an earpiece and called dad.
"Y/n, is everything alright?!" Dad asked, his voice panicked. "Dad I'm fine! I just called you to talk." I said, turning left towards a nearby park. "Ok, but make it quick because I've got a meeting to go to." He said. I sighed. "When have you ever been on time for a meeting?" He chuckled. "True. So, what do you need to talk about kid?"
I pulled up to the park and got out, talking in a hushed voice. "So, I stopped Cap when he came to stop Loki. I pulled my punches and everything, so he should be fine. If he's not, tell him he's a wuss for me." Tony chuckled. I continued. "We decided to stay at your safe house, hope you don't mind. I let Loki get settled in and we talked. And I... I told him about my powers... all of them." I said, holding my breath slightly.
"WHAT?! Y/n, do you know how dangerous it is for other people to know about your powers?! None of the Avengers know, yet you decide to tell some psychopathic God who will probably try to kill you! And, worse, what if Loki is working with Hydra and turns you against us, making you forget about everything?! I can't risk losing you Y/n..." He said. I could hear the panic and anger rising in his voice.
I tried to keep the tears in, but I felt like I've already failed him. It hasn't even been 3 full days, and I've failed. I've put myself in unnecessary danger, and now I'll have to pay.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry dad..." I stuttered, tears choking up my throat. "I j-j-just thought that m-maybe he'd t-t-trust me if I told him..." I continued, barely getting the words out. I took a big, shaky breath and wiped the tears from my eyes. You can do this! I thought to myself. "You know what. I think I made the right call, and if you don't agree with me, fine. But just remember, you trusted me with this mission, and I will make my own decisions whether you like it or not." And with that, I promptly hung up.
I sat down on a park bench and pulled out a book. I flicked to the page I was up to and started reading. I got so invested in this book. The plot twists, character development and the overall storyline was amazing! I finished the whole book, and closed it with a happy sigh.
"Good book I take it?" I heard a familiar voice say. I looked next to me and realised that Loki had joined me on the park bench. "Jesus! How long have you been sitting there for?!" I asked, suddenly self conscious. He looked down at his watch. "About an hour... you know, for an Ex-Avenger, I thought you'd be more observant." He said with a smirk. I kicked him in the shin. "Right, I deserved that." He said, regaining his usual confidence.
"How'd you even find me anyway?" I asked sceptically. He gave me a grin. "I have my ways." I rolled my eyes and stood up from the park bench, stretching out. "I'm gonna head back. Meet you there, Rock of Ages." I said as I stepped into the car.
I put down the sun roof and cranked up the music, letting everyone know what I was listening to. On the way to the safe house, I stopped by a local Shawarma joint to get tonight's dinner. The scent of the food hit me as soon as I walked into the shop, making my mouth water. I quickly ordered and drove the rest of the way home.
I entered the house and walked up to the kitchen dumping the Shawarma on the table. "Dinner is served." I said in my best French accent and flourished at the food. I collected my food and walked towards my room. "You owe me $15." I called over my shoulder as I closed the door.
After I'd finished eating, I got comfy and watched my favourite movie in my room. Once the movie had finished, I slowly drifted off to sleep.
Loki pov:
I quietly opened the door to y/n's room, aware that she was asleep. I stepped over her sleeping body and reached for the book she was reading at the park. It looked so interesting, seeing that y/n was so involved in it. I sat down on her bed, and began to read, using the light from her fairy lights.I got so engaged in the book that 2 hours passed without me even realising. As I went to get up, the still asleep y/n snuggled into my chest and I didn't know what to do. So I just laid back, letting her lie on my chest. Sub-consciously I began to run my fingers through her silky smooth hair and drifted off to sleep.
Author Note:
Hey guys! I'm sorry that I haven't uploaded recently, but with Christmas and a lack of inspiration, I didn't have that much time to write. But I should have more time to write because a two week musical theatre camp got cancelled due to covid (#fuckcovid). I have also started to write a story with my cousin so the first chapter should come out soon. :)
