They both stared into the icy blue water of a pond. A small pond. The girl was furious.

"Where's the ocean? All I could see is a pond, Nathan. I should have known it was a mock."

"I...I'm not sure. Maybe you frightened it", he answered still looking at the pond.

She was even more angry. She stepped away from the pond, "I'm going. I'm mad at you so don't talk to me tomorrow."

Right then, as she was walking further away, Nathan screamed. She looked back but he wasn't there. She ran towards the pond and looked around for Nathan. He was nowhere to be found. She noticed that the water rippled as if there was something underneath.

"Nathan? Are you there? Is that you?" She was talking to the water, almost tearing up. What if he drowned?

Her eyes swelled, sweat running through her thick skin. A nervous lump formed inside her little tummy. She leaned closer the the pond, eyeing it closely.

"Hey." She never saw who pushed her. Her lungs were now filled with water.
