The Gauntlet

As I open the safe I found something wrapped in big cloth and it had something underneath the cloth so I unraveled it looked like a gauntlet then I said a loud "what is this thing, and what is it doing hear" as I picked it up it started to a light and a beeping sound started to amid from it. Then I started to look at the design of the the gauntlet it had a none human feel to it which was strange because it didn't make sense why why it would be here and what is it? Then I got thinking about two years ago when dad died, does this have to with anything with him. I decided to not think about the daemons of the past because it wouldn't get me nowhere so I put it and put it back were I got it and closed the safe back then I went back up stairs and seen Anna and uncle Chris was talking to one another and I thought about saying something but I decided not to bother them and tried to go to my room. Then I heard my uncle called to me "hey Jake there's a cake on the counter for you." With that realization I went and got a piece of cake and sat at the kitchen table and I heard my uncle yell at me "hey Jack come in here and talk to us" I sighed and got up with my the cake in hand and sat in the living room and Chris and Anna started asked the question I hope they wouldn't ask "what was it you find" I just sighed and responded to the question "I don't know what I found but I think it best to leave down there." My uncle was confused but Anna was a little more understanding than my uncle. Then I finished my cake and put up my plate and made my way to room.

In my room I started to think about that gauntlet and what it has to do with my dad death. I couldn't figure it out then I hear a knock at my door and the door open it was my uncle and started to speak "hey come out of your room I got a present for you" I sighed and got up and left my room and seen a long and short cardboard box. I heard my say go ahead and open seen a weird and rare rifle and I spoke up with exciting tone "I can't believe that you got me it for me" and I went to hugged him but my uncle stopped me. This confused me then he spoke up and he said "look in box" I looked in the box and seen a piece of paper in it and seen it was from my dad it read "if you found my secret then you will be needing this and this is better than the other rifle also I modified the rifle for" I smiled and laid the note down said out loud "He still puts a smile on my face even when he dead". Then I picked up the rifle and just inspected it it had a 14in barrel, four round mag, had a telescoping stock, and wire grip. I was amazed by this but then I noticed the smaller box it had hand written numbers ".223" I was surprised that,  but I guess dad chambered in .223. Then I got the feeling that my rifle and that gauntlet are connected some how so I turned to my uncle and told him "I'm going be back I have to do something" and I went in the basement got the gauntlet and put it my old hunting bag and I then I grabbed my rifle and hopped in the truck and went to the one place that was far from everyone and everything the haller.

When I got there it was about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and it was hot the radio said it was the hottest day of the year and it felt like it to but I had to get to the bottom of this so I found a good spot in the forest area and started shootings my rifle to see if there was anything special about it and to my surprise there was nothing special about then I got to thinking about that gauntlet so reach in my bag and I pulled it out unwrapped it and inspected it to see how to put it on my arm then the arm  clamps opened up. So I put it on my close to my hand and the clamps automatically clamped down on my arm and it two blades came out of the gauntlet and then it started blinking again. Which started making me asking questions "why is it blinking" as I say this out loud I heard the ominous clicking sound the sound. I looked up and seen a giant tree branch was coming down. So I quickly moved out of the way and press my back against the tree and the branch hit the ground with a loud thud the I said out loud "what the hell" then heard the clicking noise again but it sounded like it was closer than last time so I went over to pickup my rifle then I heard a roar that made me stop in place it because it sounded like the thing from two years ago then I felt a sharp pain in my arm I looked at it was the gauntlet it stabbed me with some sort of syringe and it made me feel dizzy and I felt my world around me get blurry and what I thought I seen something but I was to tired to do anything so and my eyes got heavy and I closed my eyes and I pasted out.
