I stood in the Internet café, my eyes glued onto the computer screen. I could've well looked this up at home or on my phone, but I didn't want any traces of what I'm looking for to be linked back to me somehow.

At least here, there are thousands that pass through so no one can really be certain who was to look up what I look up. Even as I sat here though I had to make sure I was careful.

I got a corner spot in the café, but I still had my reservations. People were nosy...and I was afraid they'd glance at my screen. You're not allowed to cover it either so that's even worse.

As I go on Google, I search up all the characteristics of Demetrius I could. Except in me doing so they weren't helpful at all. I didn't know what word I was supposed to be searching up or looking for.

All I knew is that I wanted to know what Demetrius was...and I couldn't give up on that. Then I remembered his hunger that would cause his eyes to change color. He said it was 'lighting', but I doubt that one-hundred percent.

He says he is hungry...but for what exactly? Never once did he say what he drinks...though his eyes become the color of not only red wine, but blood. When he's hungry though...

I search up human-like creatures with eyes the color of blood. Looking over my shoulder once again, nervous that someone was looking. When I saw no one was I go back to facing the screen.

Only to see something large come up, and that large icon read vampire. As soon as I saw an image for whatever humans thought were vampires...I knew this was it.

Except these fake images and drawings of vampires...didn't compare to the sight of Demetrius. Not to mention there were folklore drawings, very outdated.

Vampires burn in sunlight, can't see their reflections, they can't stand garlic...they die by crucifix... I know these are all lies because Demetrius has stood in the sunlight, I've even seen his reflection, I am pretty sure there is garlic in some of the foods we've eaten at lunch... The crucifix part just sounds like a bit much too.

I found myself amazed because now it all was adding up. He was a vampire, and I could see it now. How didn't I see it before? I'm not sure.

It just never occurred to me to place him in such a category. I didn't know...what to place him in. No normal human being thinks of those things or possibilities because it's supposed to be make-believe.

Guess there's truth to these folklores after all.

Closing the tab, I sigh in relief because now I was certain of who he was. It was obvious to me now. I never saw it before, but I am seeing it for what it is now.

...I still somehow can't even imagine it. I know it's real and I know he is a vampire now, but how many vampires have I passed in my lifetime? He is definitely not a teenager, he might've been turned when he was a teenager; but even that's a little...

I think when it comes down to that it is supposed to be your most prime form when changed. So...him and his friends...that must be their most prime form.

I believe that...I bet as a human he was very handsome too. Except the form he has now is beyond reproach.

As I log out and the computer shuts down, I flinch to see a figure behind me. When I look I gasp to see-.

"Brian?" I frown, and he looked at me shyly as he nods. "Why...why are you here? You frightened me...hah."

I sigh in relief because I don't think he saw anything. I made sure before I closed out of here.

"I was with my parents and I saw you in here. Was just coming to say hi." He nods, and I raise my eyebrow.

"Hello." I nod back, smiling at him. Only for him to blush as he nods at the computer. "Oh? You're probably wondering why I'm cornered up in a Internet café...huh?"
