"So...considering what you are," I start, looking up at Demetrius as we sat in a booth together, "do you even want to bother eating anything?"
"Of course." He smiles, opening a menu before me so that we could look at it together, "We came here on a date, so I want to eat here. Besides, I've never had food here before so this will be a new experience with you."
I found myself blushing as I look back down at the menu. I could see his hand folding one side of the menu and I grab the other side.
"You really..." I drift as I see him look back at me with his beautiful eyes. They have yet to change color, but I wasn't sure if it was just because he was willing them to stay normal. My eyes couldn't move off of him at all and he didn't look away from me either.
We came here to talk and eat...yet here I am just staring at him...
"Sorry." I apologize whilst looking at him, leaning onto his shoulder as I hear him chuckle. "I've never been so...prepossessed by such an eye-catching person before. Sometimes I wonder if I'm even...really here, before you...you know?"
Demetrius chuckles, resting his elbow on the table. He looked me in the eyes with a serious gaze that seemed to be trying to tell me something. I was sitting against the wall, so I was trapped by him. Not that I wanted to leave as I look at him. His hand cradled my face and I found myself leaning forward into his hand.
His face leaning down towards mine, seeing him bite his lip.
"You don't give yourself enough credit Owen." He breathes, a sweet scent coming off of his very breath. I grin at him and he grins back. "You are the prepossessing one. I only harbor this appearance because when I was fully turned, it gave me my most ideal form. Except you aren't even a vampire...and yet your form is the most ideal I have ever seen on a human being."
I feel my cheek heat up in his hand from his compliment. How could he compliment me like that when he knows he is much more attractive than me?
"You...are good." I murmur, leaning back only for him to lean forward. He lets go of my cheek though except he kept a close proximity with me. "Letting such pretty words go past your teeth and lips...no wonder so many people fell into your trap."
"Except this isn't a trap, I am genuinely...giving you these 'pretty words' because I truly have so much to say. I love...looking at you, even when you're not before me all I can think about is you...with me," Demetrius scooted beside me, his arms wrapping around my waist as he pulled me into a hug, "Holding you to me as well, feeling you against me... I like having you so close to me."
My arms wrap around his neck, feeling his lips kiss the back of my ear. I snicker some because it tickled despite our bodies being so close to one another's. I could feel his muscle pressed to me through his shirt and his legs beside mine. His hand resting on the back of my head, I feel his fingers go through my hair.
I found myself sighing in relaxation to his hands running through my hair and his lips softly kissing my ear and neck. I don't know how I wasn't embarrassed despite where we were...my eyes opening as I look, only to see people go on with their lives. People even walking past and not even looking at us like were crazy.
Instantly, I had a feeling he was unconsciously controlling everyone's minds in here into thinking what we were doing was normal... I was fine with that.
"I like you," He murmurs in my ear, kissing it again, "I...I feel such a connection with you and being with you is everything to me. I don't want to be separated from you."
"Me neither." I finally speak, turning to look at him. Internally gasping when I saw his eyes were red orange, glimmering upon me. They were so captivating...
