Sports Festival (2/3)

Thrid-person POV

2 Weeks Later. The Sports Festival arrives. A couple of days earlier the students are developing their quirks on the school grounds and at home. Mal arrives at the school in her casual outfit. And ride her Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.

A lot of people are already at the school ground, especially the reporters. Since the Sports Festival will be broadcast live on TV. There's no doubt, that those who do well have a much better chance of becoming pro heroes. Mal just gets into the school ground and has to walk past a lot of people. "Ah... Violet!" Someone call Mal's hero name. It was Mt. Lady. She is with Kamui Woods and Death Arms. "Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, Death Arms. Great to see you," Mal greet. "Hey Violet, oh... about that live..." Kamui Woods. "We're not going to talk about it," Mal said; chuckling. "Anyways... go to go, see you guys around," Mal said. "See ya!" Mt. Lady said.

Mal walks inside the first years' sports festival stadium. She goes to the teachers' waiting room. Inside the room there are lockers. She puts her Grafea black leather rucksack inside her locker and takes out her Samsung z flip 3 and her hydro flask. 

She walks to the MC room and walks in. When she is her way, she could hear the students of Class 1A talking. There are Yamada and Aizawa. "Hey, Mal!" Yamada greet. "Hey..." "A lot of people out there?" "Yeah..." Mal pulls a chair and sits next to Aizawa. "All black?" Yamada asks. "Got a problem with it?" Mal asks back. "No, just... I thought you like bright colors," Yamada said. "Hmm... sometimes I use bright colors, sometimes not. Besides the bright color are only purple, green, blue, white that I usually use. Other... maybe only when I go on a mission," Mal said. "Ah..."

Then, 5 minutes later, it is time to begin the sports festival. "Hey!" Yamada greets the audience. All of the audience go wild. "Pay attention, audience! Swarm, mass media! This year's high school rodeo of adolescence that you all love, the UA sports festival, is about to begin! Everyone, are you ready?! It's time for the students to enter the first-year stage! UA sports festival. The huge battle where fledgling heroes sharpen their swords once a year! Anyway, these are the guys, right? The miraculous new starts who overcame enemy attacks with their hearts of steel! Hero course, Class 1A right?! They haven't been getting as much airtime, but this class is also full of talent! Hero course, Class 1B! Next up, general studies classes C, D, and E! Support course, Classes F, G, and H are here, too! And business course, Class I, J, and K! Al of the UA's first years are here now!" All of the audience is cheering the students. 

Time for the player pledge!" Kayama/Midnight said. This year's chief umpire for the first year is the R-Rated Hero, Midnight. While the principal, Nezu is at the third-year stage every year. "Quite, everyone! Representing the students is Bakugo Katsuki from Class 1A!" Bakugo walks to the poium. "I pledge-- That I'll be number one." The students from Class A looked surprised but they know that he will do it.

"What the heck!"

"Stop messing around!"

"Don't be so full of yourselves, Class A!"

"You sludge bastard!"

All of the students except Class A protested because of what Bakugo had said. 

"What are you doing something so disgraceful?!" Ida ask. "At least become a nice bouncy step for me to jump off of," Bakugo said; confident.

"How overconfident can you get? I'll crush you!"

The students are still protesting even though Bakugo has already gotten off the podium. "Now, let's get started right away. The first game is what you'd call a qualifier! Every year, many drink their tears here! Now, here is the fateful first game! This year, it's... this!" An obstacle course race. "All 11 classes will be participating in this race. The course will be the outer circumference of the stadium--about four kilometers! Our school's selling point is freedom! As long as you stay on the course, it doesn't matter what you do!" Midnight explains. "Now, take your places, everyone!" The students are waiting at the gate for the first game. 

"Start!" 

All the students immediately start running. "Okay, here's the play-by-play! Are you ready to do the commentary, Mummy Man? Violet?" "You're the one who forced me to come," Aizawa said. "Same here," Mal continues. "Let's get started right away, Mummy Man, Violet. What should we pay attention to in the early stages?" Yamada said. "This part right now," Mal said. The gate is too narrow. All students want to finish the first game they try to pass each other by jostling with one another. By trying to get out from the gate was already the first stage of the game. Todoroki uses his quirk and frees some of the student's legs and be able to be the first. But the students from class 1A and some of the other students were able to dodge his quirk. 

"Targets found... Lots!!"

The faux villains from the entrance exam. "Obstacles have shown up suddently! Starting with the first barrier! Robo Inferno!" Yamada said. There are a lots of tobots. The students can't get through. But Todoroki easily went through by using his freezing quirk and freeze the robots to not move. When the other students saw what Todoroki did, the students are about to get through between the robots' legs. Yet... he froze them when they were unbalanced and the robots fall over. 

"Todoroki from class 1A. He attacked and defended in one hit! How elegent! Amazing! He's the first one through! It's, you know, practically unfair!" 

"His actions are logical and strategic."

"As expected of someone who got in through recommendations! He'd never gought them before, but those Robo Infernos couldn't get past his elite moves!"
