The next day arrived as usual, turning what's yesterday into the past.

The cold wind of dragonspine wakes up the man with an eyepatch.

"Ugh. Is it morning already?" He grumbled, scratching the itch between his hair.

His words happens to wake up the one beside him. Y/n observed the surrounding. They managed to survive yet another day. But the new game resets now.

So they will have to step into a dance with death again. Of course, with their life on the line.

Both of them exited their tent to prepare themselves. To their surprise, the girls have already prep up.

"Did you both get enough sleep last night?" Asked Kaeya.

"Of course we do" amber replied.

"I see. Seems like you're pretty happy today burny rabbit" he teased.

"Of course I am. Eula said-"

"Amber. The water is boiling" Eula cuts her off, pointing towards the metal container with its water boiling violently.

"Oh! My bad!" Amber said and grabbed the heat glove beside her.

"What did Eula said" Kaeya asked.

"I said nothing" Eula replied in Amber's stead.

"Well well well. Keeping secrets now are we?" Kaeya said with a smug.

Eula wants to hit him so bad.

"You better go wash your face. You look like a 3 year old corpse" Eula shove away her thoughts and walks away.

"Can't you choose a softer words? That was too harsh" Kaeya said, obviously unaffected by Eula's remarks.

"Anyway. What's the plan for today?" Y/n asked as he wiped off the water on his face.

"Don't you feel cold? The water here could literally kill" Kaeya praised him.

"Just answer the question" y/n replied.

"Gee. What's wrong with everyone? Being so cold and all" Kaeya lets out a soft, drawn out sigh.

"Today, we pack up our things" he added shortly after.

"We're abandoning the mission?" Eula's voice sounded from the distance. It was amazing how she could still hear the conversation from there.

"We are not. I heard rumors saying there's a group of adventurers who happened to be staying on the higher level of the mountain. I was planning to group up with them" Kaeya said.

"We are scouting team. Not escort guards" Eula said as she emerged from behind the bushes.

"I know. But our safety comes first. And grouping up with them may spare us some splendid point of survivability" Kaeya explained.

"But how are we going to go up there when its only getting colder" y/n asked.

"I have solution for that!" Amber said and ran towards her tents.

She came back shortly after with a sack in her hand. She took something from it and show it to others.

"This is a warm seelie essence. it heats you up for sometime when you smash one of these" she explained.

"Just like Amber said. We will be using those things. We can't make fire up there since the temperature is too low. Unless we can find a closed cave or something similar" Kaeya added and got on his feet.
