"Can I live here?"
Celestia was already regretting her decision to bring Han to her home.
The two were given a project to complete where they had to give a presentation about a historical figure and Han had suggested working at his apartment but the girl had refused, mentioning that the eldest worker in her home, Ms.Astonia would cause a ruckus and worry.
Celestia had focused back on her friend who was looking up at the mansion with absolute awe.
"Why would I want to let you live here? I already have to deal with you in school." She grumbled before proceeding through the wooden double doors and leaving Han behind.
"That hurts me, Celestia."
"Good."
Han placed a hand over his heart in a dramatic manner but quickly ended his moment as he rushed after the black haired girl, not wanting to be left on his own.
"Welcome, Madam Celestia!"
Han grew startled by the sudden chorus of voices and jumped back in surprise but the line of maids seem to be just as baffled as him for another reason.
Celestia had brought a friend home.
"Does this happen every time you come home?" He leaned towards Celestia and made an attempt to whisper but the silence in the large room they were in only caused his voice to echo around.
Nudging the boy to stay quiet, she gestured towards him to follow her and he soon did so, walking behind her and up the stairs.
When they strode in her room, Han paused in his footsteps, his eyebrows raising in slight wonder.
"Have demons been in your room before? I can sense a faint energy of one that has been in here." He mentioned and Celestia forced herself to appear calm as she turned to face him while giving him an answer.
"I am a weapon contractor so demons tend to find my presence easily since it is quite big. I haven't learnt how to hide it."
"That is true." He mumbled in agreement, soon moving over to sit by her desk and taking out his books from his bag.
Celestia imitated his movements and focused on the textbook which contained information about the historical figure they would present to their class. Silence had filled the room with Han enquiring her a few questions here and there when he didn't understand a certain point.
"That event was quite odd the other day…"
He brought up the time where the demons had already been killed before they showed up to the other side of the forest.
"I told you to drop it. It hasn't happened since that day so it shouldn't be a big issue." Celestia tried to convince him to forget it as if it was nothing but she had to admit, she was just as curious as him.
The curiosity was slowly killing her on the inside. Was that powerful demon Zerro or not? She was willing to risk everything just to find out because if she was preparing to take down the despicable demon, she needed to know where his power currently stood. If he wasn't the demon then she didn't need to worry but there was a part of her that doubted this option would be the truth.
"But still…that demon who killed the others, it was really strong."
Placing her pen down, Celestia thought back to that time and she felt a shiver run down her spine.
"True."
"But, we could take it down since we have each other!"
Celestia held eye contact with Han to see if he would keep his word and when she saw how confident he was, it caused an odd stir in her heart.
