My heart started to race, I was finally going to go home. The thought of leaving this universe lead me to think about leaving someone else. I was interrupted in my thoughts when I heard Ned and MJ both calling Peter and my name. I looked over to Peter and tried to grab his hand, urging him to come along with me. He hesitantly shook his head side to side.
I gave him a confused look as to why he was declining. "I have... homework." He had a cheeky and unweary smile on his face hoping to get out of the situation.
I scoffed, typical Peter Parker, "homework?" He slowly nodded his head realizing how bad of an excuse that was. He kept his head down not daring to look into my eyes, I could tell he was nervous and scared to go into another universe. Trying his best not to show it.
"Peter my universe will crumble, fall, we need your help.." I paused before looking straight into his eyes, his attention fully on me "We need Peter Parker's help."
"You already have a Spider-Man." I sighed and took a small step forward so our hands were barely touching each other.
"Not one like you." He looked up a small smile starting to form on both your faces. Quickly being pulled out of the moment when I heard Ned and MJ's shouts. I ran towards the portal, gesturing for Peter to follow. Hesitantly he started to follow after me. Once I got closer to the portal, I ran through immediately pulling Ned and MJ in a big hug. Then Ned pulled away from our group hug, going in front of the portal stopping Peter from stepping into my universe.
Ned sighed before he turned towards me with a sympathetic look on his face. "Look I'm sorry Sophia but just because you finally met a boy in this universe doesn't mean you can bring him into ours. It-" before Ned could finish his sentence Peter shot a web grabbing water from the table and drinking it.
Ned and MJ's faces were flabbergasted, Ned looked at me then towards Peter, "come on in man", Ned said while patting Peters back gesturing for him to enter.
"So what's your name?" MJ spoke up eyeing the boy up and down, clearly not trusting him yet.
"Peter.., Peter Parker."
"Huh." This seemed to bring her at ease just a bit. Seeing that her boyfriend was named the same thing, and had the same abilities as him. She was about to walk away before speaking up, "not my type of Peter Parker." She said before going into the kitchen to grab food. Peter just had a very confused expression on his face, almost getting defensive over what MJ said.
I couldn't help but notice that MJ seemed frustrated and panicky. Until I realized that her Peter Parker wasn't here. "Wait where's Peter?" I looked around the room trying to spot him.
"Right here." The Peter standing right next to me responded. I held back from rolling my eyes, knowing the boy meant no harm. As I didn't hear a teasing in his tone.
Ned cleared his voice "we're trying to get him back but we can't."
"Well, how'd you get me back?" Ned shamefully looked away before explaining.
"Well actually we were looking for Peter so I tried to find Peter Parker, but instead I found you with a Peter Parker." I felt kinda disappointed that they were looking for Peter first. But quickly brushed it off before realizing that Peter will always be their priority. And I didn't have the same relationship that Peter has with them.
"What if you try looking for spider-man instead?" Parker spoke up next to me. Ned and MJ both looked at each other before nodding.
"That might work.." MJ walked towards us, so we were now all behind Ned. Ned put the sling ring on before attempting to open up a portal repeatedly muttering words; "find Spider-Man."
At first no luck. Ned sighed in defeat, before Peter moved in front of me, putting his hands on Ned's shoulder. "Just think hard of you're spider-man, ok. Picture him in your mind?" Ned nodded the words seemed to encourage him as the orange sparks reappeared, slowly forming into a portal. I smiled excitedly, turning to Peter and mouthing thanks.
I looked back over to the portal seeing a dorky teenage boy walk towards us; another Peter Parker. Peter leaned down next to me, making me feel his hot breath that smelt of mint. "Might wanna take back that thank you." I didn't even have to look at him, I knew he had a small but noticeable smirk on his face. What a smart ass. I thought trying to ignore the butterflies swirling through my stomach.
I turned back to the portal where a boy our age stood and waved at us with a dorky smile. All of us had our eyes wide. Before both the Peters looked towards each other, their spider senses tingling. They immediately both went to shoot webs at a coffee mug. Both their webs hitting it at the same time. The dorky Peter jumped on the table. They were now both playfully shooting webs at each other smiling and laughing throughout it, doing flips around the house.
A smile appeared on my face as they both seemed so happy to find someone like them. I watched them, mainly watching the taller Peter. I was staring before seeing Peter look back at me with a smile on his face as well. He caught me. Which made me immediately turn my head away looking anywhere else. I'm never like this with any boys, mainly because most boys were assholes. But maybe this one was different, I hoped this one was different.
