Y/n POV

It's been five months since I split off from Koharu and Asuna. Five months since I lost control. Five months since...

Flashback, years prior

Koharu: "Y/n, stop!! You're hurting me!"

Present

I was foraging for some ingredients for a few new potions I unlocked when I got a message. It was from Koharu. I reached a trembling hand to the message, before pressing the delete button next to it.

Y/n: "Why? Why are you trying so hard? I don't deserve your kindness... I'm a monster."

Despite Blackfang, the boss drop I got from Illfang, being a relic at this point. The damage was still on par with most store weapons. A shriek from a mantis shook me from my thoughts.

Y/n: "Can't you leave me be!?!"

I grabbed my blade and held its scabbard. Not long after, I felt the pressure build in the scabbard. Just as the creature swung, I let out two imperceivable strikes, forming a slanted X on its body before it dissipated. I got another message, this time from the tailor I asked to make a new overcoat.

Tailor: <"Hey, your clothes are ready. Come get them when you can.">

I pulled out a teleport crystal and said the name of the town she was based in. There was a feeling of vertigo, then I was back on floor 25. I walked over to a shop named after the one in the fifth Sacred Texts game.

Tailor: "Welcome to Radiant R- oh it's you. Here's your coat, grey with gold, as you asked.

Authors note: your coat resembles the cloth parts of the Bio picture.

Y/n: "Thank you. Here's the money, I'll be on my way now."

Tailor: "Before you go, a girl with black hair and green eyes was asking about you. Looks like she was on the assault team. You didn't do something did you?"

Y/n: "I prefer to keep my transactions professional. That involves not sharing what I do when I'm not giving you money."

Tailor: "...She seems worried about you, whoever she is."

I only rubbed my right forearm in response, before leaving.

Y/n: "Stop making this more difficult than it already is for me..."

I walked back to the teleporter and went up to floor 28.

I walked towards the wolf planes, my mind conflicted. I was shaken from my thoughts by a caw. I looked to my right to see a blackbird hopping around a bush. I then remembered something.

Y/n: "My vambrace gives me tame chance for birds... Fuck it."

I took out some trail mix from my pocket and got its attention by clicking my tongue. it looked at me with a tilted head.

Y/n: "Want some food?"

It hopped forward once then a couple more times. It slowly leaned forward before taking some of the oats in its beak. As it swallowed the food, its curser went from red to yellow, and a screen popped up in front of it.

Y/n: "A name, huh..."

I typed a name into the box. After hitting confirm, the name appeared under his curser.

Y/n: "Welcome to the team, Corvo."
