5th gen Auditions

It just turned June. I've been working at hololive for about 4 months now. And in those 4 months quite a bit has happened. With the biggest thing to happen was my Relationship with Suisei being exposed.

The culprit was later tracked down and brought in by the police. It would seem it wasn't only me and Suisei being tracked, but a lot of other idols from hololive and other agencies as well.

Thankfully nothing more severe had happened and that Hololive's fans were fine with their idols having relationships. Recently I've been making some cameos on Suisei's gaming streams, the fans seem to like it when me or Anemachi makes cameos.

In one of those streams, my managerial roles in hololive was revealed. Maybe I'll become someone similar to A-chan. Though that might be being too optimistic.

A-chan: Y/N.

Y/N: Ah, speak of the devil.

A-chan: What?

Y/N: Nothing, was just thinking to myself.

A-chan: Okay... well I'm here to tell you that we're about to open Auditions for the 5th gen of Hololive JP.

Y/N: More members huh?

A-chan: Yes, and that's why I'm here to tell you that you will be managing two of the members.

Y/N: Two members? You think I can do that?

A-chan: You've been working with Haachama and Coco as well as other of our more troublesome members. You should do fine with a few newbies.

Y/N: ... You make a fair point, I think I can handle that.

A-chan: That's great. You, along with the other managers for the gen, will be watching the auditions in the next 2 weeks. Me and Yagoo will do the interviews for the Audition, but feel free to give your thoughts about the applicants.

Y/N: Understood. Thank you for the opportunity

Two weeks passed and the auditions are finally opened. I was seated behind A-chan and Yagoo with the other managers. We finally let the applicants come in.

For most of the day we were going through each applicant and watching the showcase of their talents.

Another applicant came into the room. I was expecting their motivations to be the similar to the previous ones that came in.

???: Good afternoon!

A-chan: It says here you tried applying here 4 times already and got rejected to all of them.

I was surprised at this applicant's history. I looked next to me and it seems the other managers had the same surprise.

The applicant proceeded to showcase her talents like the previous ones did. After showcasing her talents, left the room.

Y/N: Who was that?

A-chan: Her name is Momosuzu Nene

Y/N: Don't you think her never give up attitude would be really great to have?

A-chan: Correct. We'll be moving her up then.

The days of the auditions passed by pretty quickly. There are some talents that caught my eyes. Whether or not they passed I wouldn't know until I see them.

A few days later

I'm riding my bike back home. This time Suisei is sitting at the backseat of my bike. This has become a common occurrence after I got my bike.

Suisei: How did the auditions go?

Y/N: There was a lot of applicants and all of them were really good. Shame only 5 of them will be picked. They can aim for the next auditions though.

Suisei: Anyone catch your eyes?

Y/N: Yeah, quite a bit of them

I felt Suisei's grip tighten, I fell into a trap!

Y/N: Uhh, there was one applicant who was rejected 4 times before, but still came back. Reminded me of you Suisei.

As I said that, Suisei let go of the tight grip at my sides. Crisis averted.

Suisei: Really?

Y/N: Yeah, I remember when you got into Inonaka. You're a hard worker Suisei, that's what I like about you.

Upon saying that, I felt Suisei wrap her arms around my body and resting her head on my back.

Suisei: Thanks, I love you, Y/N.

Y/N: I love you too Suisei, but don't suddenly move so much when we're riding.

Suisei: Then I'll stay like this until we arrive.

Y/N: But aren't I sweaty?

Suisei: It's fine.

Y/N: Well you do you then.

A few weeks later

After the Auditions ended, everything went back to normal regarding work. News of the 5th gen was limited to us. One day in the middle of July, A-chan messaged me that the members of the 5th gen have been selected and the we'll be able to meet them.

The next day I went to work. A-chan approached me at my table once I sat down.

A-chan: Good morning Y/N.

Y/N: Good morning

A-chan: The 5th gen will be coming here today. Here are the files of the 2 you'll be working with. Make sure you read them. They'll be coming in after lunch.

Y/N: Gotcha, thanks A-chan.

I open the files once A-chan left my view. The first File was definitely a familiar face.

Y/N: Momosuzu Nene huh? You finally got in, good for you. How about the other one?

I open the other folder the A-chan gave me. I look at the picture on the personal information page. On the picture was a girl with long, pink hair with strands of yellow at some parts.

Y/N: Mano Aloe I remember seeing her in the Auditions as well. Also a Succubus in training? Quite a character.

I close the files and put it in the corner of my table as I start working. Finishing most my work before meeting the newcomers.

There's no magic in this world. The members are playing a character that was made for them by hololive. Though that's just a foundation for their streams. Their personalities could change after months of streaming.

Their hair color and appearance stays the same. But their more fantasy stories are just a character.
