Goodbye

It's been 3 years already since we first moved in here. It was a really great time, I felt like home was here. But one night during dinner my father told us the news. We were moving away again.

I knew it was inevitable but it's still really sad. I didn't know how to tell Suisei that we were gonna leave soon.

A week before we were set to leave, while we were walking home with her I told suisei the news.

Y/N: Hey, Suisei...

Suisei: What's wrong Y/N? You seem to be really gloomy recently

Y/N: What would you feel if I was gone?

Suisei: Why are you asking that? I'll be really sad you know. This isn't a nice question-

Y/N: We're moving away again. We're leaving on sunday. You know how my father's job is.

I force out a small laugh after saying this.

Y/N: I told you about that befo-

Before I could finish what I was saying, Suisei started running away.

Y/N: Wha- SUISEI?!

I started chasing after Suisei while calling out to her, but she wouldn't stop. We ran and ran until we arrived home, Suisei quickly running inside and shutting the doors with a loud thud.

The following week, Suisei didn't attend school. It felt weird walking to school alone. Everyday for the past 3 years was always with Suisei, so this was a new experience and I didn't like it.

On my final day at school we had a farewell party for me. I made a lot of friends here.

Friend: Don't forget about us okay Y/N?"

Y/N: Of course I wont, I'll always remember you all what kind of person would I be if I forget.

I laugh after saying it, but in reality all I cared was that one seat, The chair where Suisei was supposed to be sitting. It was empty, Suisei didn't go to school today as well.

Suisei POV

Anemachi: Suisei are you sure you don't want to go to school today? It's Y/N final day today

I heard my sister, Anemachi tell me through the door. But I didn't reply. If I see Y/N I wouldn't be able to hold back my tears.

2 days later

I hear the doorbell ring. I look at my window and see Y/N standing outside the gate. A few seconds later I hear a knock on my bedroom door.

Anemachi: Suisei Y/N is outside. You should really go out and see him

I heard Anemachi's voice through the door, but I still don't reply.

Anemachi: Do you want him to forget about you? You haven't attended school for the past week. You didn't attend his farewell party. If you don't say goodbye to him now he might forget about you, you know?

After hearing those words I immediately stood up and went out my room, running past my sister.

Suisei: Anything but that!

Y/N POV

Y/N: It's been 5 minutes already and Suisei isn't coming down. I guess she doesn't want to see me at all

I thought to myself as I begin to walk away. But before I got into the car I heard a familiar voice.

Suisei: "Y/N!"

It was Suisei, she finally came down. I immediately ran back in front of their house.

I walk up to Suisei, her eyes are puffy I could easily tell that she's been crying.

Suisei: I'm sorry for not going to your farewell party. I thought if I see you during your farewell party I wouldn't be able to hold back my tears.

Y/N: It's okay, I'm just glad you finally decided to come down.

Suisei: Anemachi told me that if I don't come down that you'd forget about me and I didn't want that to happen.

Suisei says as she begins to cry

Y/N: I'll never forget about you I promise."

I tell her trying to calm her down.

Suisei: Really?
Y/N:  Really."

I reply to Suisei as she begins to calm down.

Just then I had a bright but obvious idea that I can't believe I haven't thought off before.

Y/N: I have an idea! Tell me your telephone number, and I'll call as soon as possible

Upon hearing this, Suisei seems to have cheered up as she dashes back inside. Not even a minute later Suisei runs back outside with a piece of paper in hand and hands it to me.

Suisei: Here I wrote it down as quickly as I could

Suisei says as I take a look at it. I nod and put it inside my pocket.

Y/N: I'll call as soon as I can.
Suisei then hugs me.

Suisei: You promise?

Y/N: I promise. I never break promises

Suisei then let's go and I start walking away. I see Suisei waving at me and I wave back.

Suisei POV

Anemachi: See it wasn't that bad, aren't you glad you came down?

Suisei: Yeah, I'm glad I said goodbye

It always bothered me when stories make the characters not see each other for multiple years. So I did this.

Since this is my first story it would be nice to hear some criticism as I want it to be enjoyed by everyone reading.
