Shadow work is a part of every witch's jury but you may not be ready for it. If you are unsure if you are ready to start shadow work I would suggest asking your spirit guide and/or deity or any spirits you are working with. They will tell whether or not you are ready to start shadow work.
Now for shadow work your need a pencil or pen and well as a journal to write everything down. Shadow work will be something you'll want to work on every day but it's okay if you need and break for a day or two.Shadow work can be scary at first but the more you do it the easier it will get. Shadow work is called this because you are working with your shadow self. The shadow self is the side of you, you don't want to see it is your trauma and your flaws. And working through it is kinda like therapy that will not only help you to be a better Witch but a better person too.
Now to start I would suggest using some premade journal prompts to get the ball rolling. These a a few I've used.
these are nice and easy to do when you are just starting out.
These one are a bit more challenging but are still good to use.
